Up for a good laugh? This one is special for Harry Potter fans. Say what you will about the series’ infamous author, but the books and movies are well loved the world over for a good reason! They’re fun stories full of adventure and mysticism, what’s not to love?

The franchise has caused some serious waves in world culture, and it has earned some interesting monuments around the world!

One such monument, is platform 9 and 3/4 in King’s Cross Station, in London, England.

For those who do not know, platform 9 and 3/4 is the secret, magical platform that witches and wizards use to board the Hogwarts Express, a secret, magical train that takes said witches and wizards to the secret, magical Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry!

It’s a great moment in the first novel where Harry

watches as some incognito wizardfolk sprint headlong at a solid wall which they then disappear into!

In real life, due to the success of the novels and films, the famous wall used for the first movie

now has half a shopping trolley sticking out of it to pay homage!

It was a busy day at King’s Cross, with plenty of tourists lined up to see platform 9 and 3/4 for themselves!

Reddit user erosion had different plans.

In a video uploaded onto Reddit, a mystery man can be seen jumping over the barriers keeping everyone in line!

People are pretty slow to react, with most not even realising anything is amiss! It’s all happening so quickly!

The mystery man is in a full on sprint at the wall!

He’s determined to see what lies beyond our regular, muggle boundaries!

I can’t blame him. I was crushed when I didn’t receive a letter from Hogwarts on my eleventh birthday. Gotta hold out hope that my owl just got lost on it’s way across the pond! If there’s a world of magic out there, there are some of us determined to find it!

As you can see below, he has no intention of letting that wall stop him. He was hoping it’d open up, like in the movies. Maybe he thought his magical powers would kick in.

Except, I guess Hogwarts is having another chamber of secrets incident, since…

Our eager protagonist doesn’t exactly make it through the wall.

Guess Hogwarts is closed this year, sorry man! Check out that trolley in the wall, though!

I respect the dedication to the world’s greatest wizarding school, but he should have remembered that

muggles don’t get to pass through the wall. Silly!

So he does the only rational thing any of us could do in that situation and

he turns to run out of there before anyone can ask question.

People… are… Bewildered. To say the least.

Despite this absolutely hilarious display, people are barely laughing! I don’t get it! Slapstick humor doesn’t work so well for the British, I guess?

It’s crazy to see how many people are in the crowd, waiting in line to get some photos taken that are completely humourless.

Of course, our dear friend in the video wasn’t counting on the security guard either…

I still dream of one day getting on the Hogwarts Express!

Or at least literally any train that looks like it. There are plenty, I’m just uncultured.

So what do you think? Did our friend erosion make it past security? Did he get booked by them and spend a night in Azkiban?

We all know the worst part of prison is the dementors.

If you want to find out the conclusion to this epic saga, you’ll have to watch the video below! We hope you enjoy it, I know I did.
