There is so much grace and athleticism required to participate in synchronized swimming. The discipline and training asked of the swimmers to execute a performance would take so many days to get it perfect.
For viewers, it is like watching a dance. Something similar to a ballet or concert. It is an art to most.
These guys had a brainstorming event one night.
Anyone can have a crack at it. As long as they’re willing to put in the work and effort, they can deliver a truly memorable performance.
Like these guys.
They certainly look like elite athletes with the bodies they have. Looking like a boyband from the 90’s, they march on stage wrapped in towels looking ready for a good swim.
Truly a glamorous and magnificent sport.
The boys have a lot to live up to. Are they up to the challenge?
Certainly seems like it. The crowd cheers in anticipation as the music plays. They dive to their right, one after the other and already the audience is loving it. Seven pairs of feet break the surface of their “water”.
Kicking and splitting, they look so “graceful” and it’s only begun.
The audience roars their approval for the first act.
They gather their strength and proceed to execute an alternating sequence of dives as one begins to seemingly hover and float on the surface. Those swim caps sure came in handy!
One of the boys is lifted up by his friends who have gathered in a circle, and they proceed to spin to the Radetzky march, Op. 228 by Andre Rieu and Johan Strauss Orchestra.
It takes incredible strength and balance.
Being a hybrid form of swimming, dance and gymnastics, it takes a ridiculous amount of endurance, strength, flexibility and the ability to hold your breath underwater for long periods of time all while performing a routine.
Just look at how muscular these guys are. They really prepared for this!
Those abs are the result of dedication.
Without breaking stride, they continue by forming a line and swaying back and forth with incredible control. The water sure looks suspiciously serene. It must be that they are so graceful. Must be.
The audience is getting rowdy but that doesn’t seem to faze these guys. Distractions aside, they pull up and strike a beautiful pose!
The excellence of execution.
These guys are truly entertaining. Drawing both laughter and applause, they dive off one by one on opposing sides. Listen to that crowd!
But wait, is that a dorsal fin? That familiar tune comes on and that one guy doesn’t seem to notice until it’s too late. Swimming along side him is a Great White Shark. One of the biggest and deadliest ocean predators. Poor fellow.
A throwback and tribute to Jaws.
He lets out a terrifying scream of terror. Good thing his buddies are there to save him! Two guys dive in and attempt to fight off the super predator. Must be nice to have such brave friends!
That shark is putting up a fight but it’s no match for this brotherhood!
These bros got each other’s backs that’s for sure.
The hilarious skit ends after the shark is defeated. They rise up together for a bow while the classic Baywatch theme blares from the speakers.
Listen to that audience!Laugh your heart out by watching the video below
