Every wedding has its flower girl. But this bride and groom had an entirely different request.
The Kilted Guy, as he is known in YouTube, explained that his cousin has a very specific request. With his cousin renewing her wedding vows, he knew that this request is something he cannot refuse, and something that he needed to his all.
The request was for him to join the wedding entourage as the “flower girl”.
If his cousin needs a flower girl, then it’s a flower girl they’re going to get. The wedding entourage marched in a happy but solemn procession to the tune of “Love and Marriage” by Frank Sinatra. A perfect melody for a day filled with love.
But the song abruptly fades into the background and recedes into a quiet anticipation.
Then, a guitar rifts blasts out to herald the entrance of this very special member of the entourage.
The audience bursts in laughter and cheers when a burly man in a kilt at the end of the aisle began cocking his hips to Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar On Me”.
He turns as the music builds up, then threw a handful of petals into the air to show everyone the role that he is here to fill in, and he is going to do it well.
From his bedazzled fanny pack, or bum bag to our friends from across the pond, he showers the venue with petals because that is what committed flower girls do and he is not planning on failing them.
He stops on the aisle every now and then to make sure that every part he walks on gets a generous serving of love. He matches his dedication to the role with intense finesse and killer swag.
He even stops in front on of the audience members to sprinkle her with some flowery sugar.
In one of the comments under the video, he shared:
“I wear kilts everyday, though the bum bag was specially for the wedding at the request of the bride.”
He might be the biggest and meanest flower girl around, but he is not afraid to flaunt what he has and he is loving the role that was given to him.
It might be just a bunch of laughs for the others, but for him, it is making his cousin’s day a little bit more special and memorable.
Asking guys to fill in the much-coveted role of a flower girl is not new, and it is actually pretty amazing how these guys take this role seriously and give it their all. This wedding in Top Sail Island, North Carolina, even had a flower girl in a dress and a shirt, carrying a basket of red petals.
He gave on his full dramatics, even blowing a handful of petals to one of the attendants.
