When people see babies, they normally expect to find the mother tending to the infant rather than the child’s father. This is because Moms usually spend more time with their little ones than Dads.
Mothers are also known to be more meticulous when it comes to looking after their babies, thanks to the tried and tested maternal instinct. They have the amazing ability to know how to respond to their child’s calls and cries.
But what would happen if a little baby is left alone with his father? Will this be a disaster? Or will it be as fun as a day with Mom?
A YouTube channel called “Perfect Daddy”, a father showed just how a day with Dad would unfold if Mom left him alone with the baby. The video made quite a wave online and was viewed for over eight million times!
In the footage, a little baby who has just started to crawl was left with his Daddy because Mommy went away for some reason. He’s so tiny and charming and he absolutely loves to smile.
The adorable infant was quietly smiling while lying on his chest when his father had the funniest idea.
Unlike Mom who loves to play peek-a-boo and make faces so her baby would laugh, this Dad has a different way not just to entertain the baby but to get entertained himself! What’s a father-and-son bonding time without a little mischief, right?
Out of nowhere, Dad got a piece of a paper cut-out in his hand and pasted it on his child’s “barely-there” eyebrow. A few moments later, he got another piece and placed it on his baby’s other eyebrow.
One by one, Dad brought paper cut-outs that were shaped like a mustache and a thin beard. These cut-outs were also pasted on the child’s face as Dad quietly laughs in the background, clearly entertained with his baby’s transformation.
Lo and behold, what was once a baby’s face now looks like Captain Jack Black, Johnny Depp’s character in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. After all the paper was pasted on his face, the baby now resembled a pirate!
And to be honest, he is one adorable pirate! Well, he does look a bit mean, but he’s still cute and charming! Dad totally nailed the look and he obviously had a lot of fun while transforming the innocent child. Let’s admit it, we are all laughing at this hilarious bonding moment, too!
The video was posted on YouTube way back in 2014, and it has accumulated over eight million views since then. We can’t blame the viewers because this scenario is so real as it is so funny.
Although most people see mothers as the parent with more connection to their children, this is not exactly true all the time. Fathers can share a similar bond with their children even if they were not the ones who got pregnant and delivered their kids into the world.
While many of us still believe that mothers have a greater bond to their children rather than the fathers, we are now starting to learn that Dads can have this kind of connection with their kids, too.
It turns out that fathers are also capable of gaining a bigger connection to their kids if they spend more time with them. Normally, it is the mother who gets to spend more time with the baby and is naturally expected to take care of them through breastfeeding.
But, if fathers would make more time to spend on their young ones, the connection between them and their little ones would surely get more boost. This is why videos such as this adorable bonding moment between Dad and baby are such a treasure.
