In high school the competition is fierce, whether it’s sports, dance, or academics, the big dream is usually to win state. It takes a tremendous amount of talent and complete teamwork. This highschool drill team from West Covina hits the stage with a barbershop theme and quickly shows why they won state!
This all-male drill team from West Covina is incredible! It’s hard to believe they’re in high school, but easy to see why they won state
It starts out with four barber stations in the middle of the gymnasium, they have drill team members on each side and one person standing at each chair, holding perfectly still poses. Don’t forget about the matching outfits, with pink button-ups and adorable suspenders.
The crowd cheers with anticipation, as soon as the music starts they jump into action. The team members on the side smoothly spin into the barber chairs, while the ones posing as barbers whip the chair clothes over their new clients.
Every movement is perfectly timed with the music, once the haircut is finished, the whole drill team starts dancing together
The teenage boys flawlessly nail their routine, after the barber is finished they swarm to the middle of the court and put on an amazing dance spectacle.
One team member is to the side holding a massive, old-school boombox. The drill team pretends like he’s the one playing the music and it looks awesome!
Their precision is remarkable, timing is the key and these kids are right on time
Every single member is outstanding, they guide across the stage all while popping their upper bodies. All elements of dance are embedded into the impressive routine, they even bust out some old school break dancing!
At one point, they start to break dancing and the crowd goes wild. One team member stands on his hands bouncing across the stage
Using simple props, the drill team manipulates gravity with their jaw-dropping moves. It’s easy to see why they’re the state champs, I don’t know how it could get any better!
Spinning, shaking, and contorting their bodies is just another day at the park for these kids. One team member runs through a tunnel formed by the team, right before breaking out into the splits.
They’re lighting the court on fire, they are like robots the way the mimic each other to a tee
In the last minute of the performance, the high school drill team turns it up to the max. Move after move, they feed off of the crowd’s energy and give the performance of a lifetime. During the finale, they flip one teammate into a full front flip and end it with a long football completion that’s timed to the music.
After that performance, no one can deny these kids their title! This is the best drill team ever, watch the video below!
