With so many appliances, pieces of furniture, and nooks and crannies in our homes…when we clean, there’s a lot of spots to think about!
So, it can be really easy to overlook the smaller spots.
You might not even know that some of these spots even exist.
Like the tray that collects crumbs at the bottom of your pop-up toaster ovens.
Thanks to TikToker Kacie we now know that this pull-out compartment exists making our toaster ovens even easier to clean than we originally had realized.
Lots of her fans didn’t even know their toaster had this drawer. But thanks to Kacie, they know do!
“There are cleaning hacks going around the internet that are not really hacks at all, they make it harder. This week I was sent one. ‘Clean your toaster with a hairdryer. Just tip it in the bin,” she said.
Yup folks, it’s that simple.
Kacie’s toaster oven revelation video ended being viewed more than 92,000 times.
Her page The Big Clean Co. is chock full of great cleaning tips and hacks.
She also takes questions from her fans.
One asked, “How do you make stubborn water stains go away?”
Kacie, of course, had the answer. To remove stubborn water stains from a glass shower, just rub it down with a non-scratch sponge and Gumptions, a paste, or Bar Keeper’s Friend, a powder, and rinse.
“Both of those just scrub onto the screen and wash off as long as the glass isn’t etched it should come off pretty good,” she explains.
When it comes to cleaning and shining a stainless steel sink, her top two favorite products are bicarbonate of soda, or bicarb soda, which is a chemical-free option, and cream cleanser.
Just sprinkle either of these over your surface and clean with a scouring sponge, magic eraser, or microfiber towel.
Kacie also teaches us an easy way to keep the shower clean.
Just keep one of those dishwashing wands, that you fill with soap or cleaner, in the shower so it’s easy to give the shower a quick scrub while you’re already in there. Then just rinse.
Most of us dread having to clean our ovens because of the harsh chemicals used and terrible smells that result from getting the job done.
But that’s not the case.
Kacie gives us a great non-toxic way to do this dirty work. Just preheat your oven to soften the grease. Just make sure it’s not hot enough to burn you while you clean.
Sprinkle some bicarb soda over the oven. Wet a steel wool scrubbing pad and use it to clean the oven with the bicarb soda.
Underneath the fridge can be a terrifying place for cleaners like Kacie. You can find lots of seriously gross stuff under there. She says you should clean it at least twice a year and you need to disinfect everything.
She sure is serious about her cleaning and thinks you should be too. And her fans just love her cleaning advice. Her TikTok page has more than 2.4 million likes and she has more than 247,000 followers. Are you looking for ways to keep your home clean? Check out her Facebook group here.
