There are a lot of heartbreaking stories out there. It can be especially upsetting when it involves an animal being abandoned โ as we know the poor thing didnโt have a choice in the matter.
One rescue shelter in Serbia got a call about an abandoned dog with two pups.
Once the call came in, more details surfaced about the dog. This dog was a momma and had two puppies with her.
They were abandoned by their owners and the mom was waiting with a broken heart to be picked up again.
When people tried to help with food and water, the momma dog rejected it.
After a few days of being stuck outside, the situation had the potential to turn dire.
The Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac kicked it into gear and went out to find the dogs. When they got there, the momma was hiding in the grass with her babies.
She didnโt appear aggressive, and when the team got there the momma dog started to trust them.
Getting her some food and water, she started to eat for the first time in days.
Her puppies were so small that they didnโt even have their eyes open yet.
You could tell that the momma dog was thankful to see people who cared about her.
It was obvious that she trusted the rescuers, even with her babies.
After some gentle handling and petting, you could see the momma dogโs heart burst wide open.
Once she had something to eat, the puppies got a chance to drink some milk for the first time in a while.
Placing the puppies and the momma in a kennel, she was safe for the first time in days.
Wanting to give one final check on the grass, the rescuer did a quick sweep to make sure there wasnโt anything left behind.
All of a sudden, he found a little brown body squirming in the grass!
If the man didnโt decide to look one last time, the puppy would have been left to die.
Thankfully, you can tell that these people really care about these animals.
A happy momma means happy babies! You know that these babies were happy to have some milk after a couple of days going hungry.
The team named her Moli and say that she makes a wonderful mom.
After all the needed vet precautions were taken, the dogs were able to meet more people who loved them: a foster family.
From the rescue shelter picking her up to the family finding a temporary home, Moli was taken care of and loved all the way through.
Fortunately, even a broken heart can heal.
Even with some terrible owner abandoning them, there were still people who cared. Thankfully those people found her just in time.
The group even provided an update on Moli and her pups โ and turns out, they were all adopted into loving forever homes!
Although it started out as a sad story โ there was a very heartwarming ending that has earned millions of views.
