Happiness and joy can spread as fast as a wildfire. It also doesn’t take much. A song. A smile. Some karaoke in the park?
We’re not really sure what’s going on in this particular park, but it’s packed. With everything going on in the world, a gathering like this has been negative, but the more we see- the more it looks like everyone is just hanging out on a nice day.
Groups of young people everywhere, and one lone man on a bench singing Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ on a Prayer.’
Is he singing to get attention? Is this the reaction he wanted?
Or did he just have Bon Jovi stuck in his head and want to get it out? We may never know but we are glad that he decided to sing for all to hear in the park that day- and of course that someone happened to catch the magical moment on camera.
It doesn’t seem like much, the man is just singing an 80s song to himself and we start to think that no one is listening to him. They all seem to be sort of tuning him out it seems.
But then something strange happens- we hear other voices as he reaches the chorus.
While it started out as a solo performance, suddenly, he’s joined by tons of park patrons who are obviously Bon Jovi fans too. Together they belt out the classic lyrics to ‘Livin’ on a Prayer.’
Let’s face it, it’s not every day you get an entire park to sing along with you!
Bon Jovi is a pretty well-known artist, and ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ is one of their most popular songs.
It’s catchy, it’s easy to sing along with, and everyone knows and loves it. Bon Jovi has had other popular songs like ‘Dead or Alive’, ‘You Give Love a Bad Name, and ‘It’s my Life’- but none of them hit like ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’. Simply put, it’s just universal.
Maybe the group would have starting singing earlier if they truly knew the whole tune, who knows. But the important part is that they all joined in for the epic chorus!
The whole park is singing along with this one man, and it’s surprising everyone!
It didn’t take a lot to bring everyone in this park together. One common song, and this stranger cheered everyone up, no matter what they might have been there for, or going through.
Even the internet loved it!
They may not have been there to experience it in person, but over 2 million people have watched it from home and thousands more have liked and commented.
