Let’s face it: No matter how hard you try to live your own life, you will still have neighbors you won’t get along with. Even if you’re not doing anything wrong, they will continue to hate you.

Brian and Cindy Zechenelly have built a big garage apartment on their property.

There’s nothing extraordinary about it- except that they painted it purple. For the couple, it was perfect. It was inspired by The Painted Ladies, the row of Victorian houses in Alamo Square.

One of their neighbors wasn’t too happy about it.

The color wasn’t the only thing that irked Brian Juel. He didn’t like the fact that his neighbor built a house that’s bigger than any other in their neighborhood, blocking his waterfront view.

Since the garage apartment had been painted with a bright color, there were at least two dozen neighbors who expressed their disappointment. They created a petition against the apartment. They expressed that the purple building had been causing their homes’ values to decrease.

When he couldn’t take it anymore, Brian Juel took matters into his own hands.

He grabbed his lawnmower and planned his revenge. He skillfully mowed the phrase “A-H***”. To express his strong hatred for the house, he even included an arrow pointing towards it.

The disappointed neighbor thought that the owners of the purple building will be the only ones who can see the message.

He shared:

“I made the sign because I thought he could see it from the top floor of his house.”

Apparently, that wasn’t the case.

Thanks to the internet, millions of people have now witnessed his strong message for his neighbor.

Google Earth has picked it up and a screenshot of it has been going viral ever since. A lot of people found it funny. Others were quite disappointed with his behavior.

One YouTube viewer said:

“If he didn’t want his views of the ocean blocked he should have bought the lot. I think the guy on the mower has envy issues.”

Another one commented:

“I mean if it’s his property he can do what ever he wants😂😂 I’m so confused.”

There was also this person who said:

“If the neighbor worked hard for his money and decided to build a big house then you should be mad at yourself for not being successful enough to buy the land for yourself.”

Brian Juel knows that what he did earned tons of negative comments.

He told Inside Edition:

“I know people want the arrow pointed towards me and I accept that.”

Contrary to what most people think, he knows it’s everyone’s right to build whatever they want. However, he also pointed out that it could affect others.

As for the sign, it’s not clear if it’s still there. However, the viral photos on the internet aren’t going away anytime soon.

He wants it between the new building and his home. Somehow, he thinks it can help mask the house out of his view.
