So much time, thought and energy pours into figuring out the extensively detailed plans for a wedding. Some couples take months upon months to iron out both the big parts, such as the vows, the gown and tux, as well as some of the minor but still important details such as the font for the invitations.

There’s the delectable meal to plan out, cakes to excitedly taste, beautiful location to consider, flowers to painstakingly choose and more. Some couples choose to uphold the rituals of their religion and incorporate them into the ceremony.

Others want to include items or practices that are important to them, such as a pet, a child, a particular poem or prayer, even a song.

Then of course there’s the “something borrowed, something blue” tradition. Cutting a rug after the ceremony is done is one of the bright spots of the event. Enjoying a meal together, then rocking out on the dance floor is too much fun.

Most couples select a song for their first dance that truly means something to them, such as one that’s considered to be “their song.” Then there’s the dance between the bride and her father, followed by the dance shared by the groom and his mother.

The parent-adult child spin around the dance floor can be performed to a traditional lovey-dovey song or something that truly fits the relationship.

Maybe dad and daughter cut a rug to the fox trot or mom and son decide to swing dance.

At the Ottolino wedding, the dashing groom and his gorgeous mom glide out onto the dance floor and embrace, swaying back and forth to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.

He’s dapper looking in a white tux trimmed in black and she’s stunning in her glittering, form-fitting gown. They share a few laughs, a few smiles, the grin outward at friends and family members staring at them from the crowd. They chat briefly, then he smoothly spins his mom outward.

Suddenly, everything changes and the crowd goes wild.

The audience goes wild as the mother-son duo take a walk through time, dancing to multiple songs from different eras. Kicking off their fun choreography is the song “ABC” by The Jackson Five. They snap and step to the side, then execute a snazzy jazz square with arm rolls and a little freestyle breakdown.

MC Hammer’s classic song “Can’t Touch This” comes on and mom manages to bust a move in her snug-fitting dress. The groom does a hilarious impersonation of MC Hammer’s side shuffle minus the baggy pants.

He jams and she pops and locks. They both do a booty shake drawing laughs from everyone, then she pretends to smack his bottom.

Their routine segues into a culturally important song to which they dance around in a circle and celebrate. A fun and bumping song “Jump, Jive an’ Wail” by Earl Bostic has the pair kicking up their heels.

Suddenly, the music screeches back to “What a Wonderful World” and this impressive mom and son dancing sensation wrap up their slow dancing with the sweetest embrace. The groom gently dips his mother and they finish with a slow dance embracing each other sweetly and he dips her low as the camera fades away.

YouTube users had nothing but admiration for this mom and their routine.

“This was too cute. Mom has some moves and in those heels! She looks hot in that dress. What an adorable family.”
