Seeing your child get married is something very special for parents, especially a mother. You remember the day you found out that you would be a mom, then felt them as they grew inside you.

You suffered to bring them into the world then watched them endure the trials of life as a toddler, an adolescent, and finally an adult. Then the day comes where they get married and go on to start a family of their own.

Even though Luke’s mother has ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a fatal condition that is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, her son Luke was determined to make sure that his mom got to enjoy the wedding.

And that meant having their special mother and son dance, despite the fact that she was in a wheelchair.

The video begins with the song “Hero” by Mariah Carey playing as Luke takes his mother’s hands and walks her out onto the dance floors as she is seated into her chair.

He tenderly bends down to kiss his mother on the forehead before he grins widely and kneels down beside her and kisses her again.

He presses his head against his mother’s and wheels around in circles with her.

His wife, Kristeena Rheault who posted the video on YouTube, can be seen wiping tears away from her face in the background. That’s just before his mother begins to break down and cry hysterically.

Luke smiles and begins to spin his mother around which makes her smile. He just holds her hands as they wheel around together on the dance floor.

And there isn’t a single damn person in that room who wasn’t tearing up.

You can see the wedding guests in the background crying. His mother begins to tear up again and you can also see the tears on Luke’s face as well. He wipes his mother’s tears away and everyone breaks out into a roar of applause as the song comes to and end.

“This was probably the most touching moment I have ever witnessed,” Kristeena said on YouTube. “When my husband danced with his mother there was not a dry eye in the house. She was suffering from ALS so she had to use a wheelchair. So happy Luke got to have this moment before she passed away.”

The beautiful moment was captured on video by Ray Roman Films. You’re going to need some tissues before you watch this one folks, enjoy!
