There are few things in this world that are better than a fresh box of donuts.

It’s one of the few foods that will entice every single one of your senses.

There’s the smell of the hot dough and melty icing.

The sight of all the shapes and colors and glazes.

The feel of the soft, cloud-like treat warming up your fingertips.

The taste of the wonderful, delicious, mouthwatering sugars and starches as they move effortlessly throughout your mouth.

And the sound of your lips smacking and fingers sucking as you clean off the last of the sticky glaze that was left behind.

There’s nothing better right?

Wrong.

What if you not only got to enjoy that fresh box of donuts, but it was also drone-delivered to your balcony by your grandpa during quarantine?

Yup.

That’s better.

And it actually happened for one lucky little boy.

To be fair, the box was supposed to be for all of the grandkids, but the oldest, Oren, who was five, got to receive the package from the drone itself.

And let’s face it, if your the oldest kid at five years old, there isn’t going to be much competition from your younger siblings.

They’re lucky if they can even walk on their own, let alone compete for a fresh box of drone-nuts.

Kevin Procopio from Saugus, Massachusetts was tired of not getting to see his grandkids.

Since the quarantine took place due to Covid-19, he’s been unable to play with them.

And get this, he lives just a third of a mile down the road from them–talk about frustrating.

He knew that the family was dealing with some “extreme cabin fever,” according to the Good News Network, and decided he ought to lighten everyone’s spirits.

Now, most grandparents would just call to say hi or write a card and stick in the mailbox for you to find.

But not this grandpa–not Papa Kevin.

He thought it would be a good idea to call his family and tell everyone to go outside onto the balcony.

They went outside, happy for the distraction, and waited for whatever was coming next.

Oren was the most excited because he knew that Papa Kev was no ordinary grandpa–it was going to be something great.

And he was right.

He heard the faint hum of a drone in the distance and listened as it got louder.

When he finally spotted it, he saw a box of donuts hanging from it.

And it was coming right for him.

The drone hovered above Oren and then slowly lowered the box right into his arms.

Talk about great service.

And the best part is that it’s a win-win for everyone.

Oren gets his donuts, the parents get a momentary distraction, and grandpa gets to interact with his grandkids.

Which is good news for Papa Kevin.

According to research published in Evolution and Human Behavior, grandparents who spend time with their grandkids live longer than those who don’t.
