By now, you’re probably familiar with the Running Man Challenge. It’s the internet sensation where people perform the African street dance that originated in the late mid-80s set to Ghost Town DJ’s “My Boo.”
The Running Man Challenge is said to have been started by University of Maryland basketball players, Jaylen Brantley and Jared, Nickens. But you’ve probably never seen the Running Man challenge like this.
One family decided they would put their own twist on the Running Man Challenge. They call it the “Grandma Running Challenge.”
It starts off with a grandma doing grandma things, like sweeping the kitchen floor, with her young granddaughter by her side and her older grandson in the background sitting at the kitchen table.
Once the beat drops, that’s when the fun starts.
The entire family busts out into some sweet dance moves and grooves to the song. Another grandson comes out of nowhere and joins them, jumping on the kitchen chair.
But granny ain’t having that.
“Boy, if you don’t get the hell off my G*ddamn chair, I’m gonna beat your ass,” she yells as she stops dancing and turns around.
Her grandson quickly jumps down off the chair so that he doesn’t suffer grandma’s wrath. Grandma resumes her awesome dances which were the funkiest out of the bunch.
