Who says you can’t be a superstar dating guru at 90?

One of the best things about democratized content creation is that it gives everyone the opportunity to make quality content.

From dance instructors to lawn mower operators and home chefs to pet owners, the possibilities are just endless.

One 93-year-old grandmother became a viral sensation with her hilarious yet relatable content.

Lilian Dorniak is “The Internet’s Grandmother.”

Yes, that’s her netizen-given title and, let us tell you, she’s earned it. Dorniak, from Shelton, Connecticut, has more than 8 million followers on TikTok.

Her secret? Being old.

As a person who has “been around”, her content revolves around tips, advice, and nuggets of wisdom for all ages.

Because of her age, she is a fountain of experience that she shares in an unfiltered and candid way. One of her recent viral posts is something a lot of young people can relate to.

She shared some dating tips.

Just like a lot of content creators who vlog about going out, Dorniak started her series with a GRWM, or a “get ready with me,” clip showing how she got ready for a date.

She styled her hair and put on a bit of makeup, but it was her candid remarks that made her post go so viral.

She said it was her first date after 25 years and she was nervous. To be honest, we’d be nervous too.

She said afterward that she won’t be going on a date with the man ever again.

She shared some red flags about men.

Some are preferential, others are truth undiluted.

She said if the man loves to golf and hates bingo, then it’s time to say goodbye.

She also shared that she didn’t like her last date because he doesn’t open doors for her or pull the chair out for her.

She said that women should always pay attention to the first date because that’s the only time they’ll see how a man acts around them.

Some hilarious red flags she shared are: if a man lies about their height, those with names that start with “J”, don’t like cats, put soups in the fridge, and are either Scorpios, Cancers, or Pisces.

She also shared some “green flags.”

She says the guy is a keeper if he has a pet, flosses every day, buys her drinks, says she’s pretty every morning, and most especially, “shuts up” when she says so.

She also clarified that it will always be up to the person. If they want to take her advice, then do. If they don’t want to, then they’re always free not to do so.

In the end, she also shared that it’s not always about being with a man.

She shared that there are a lot of ways to enjoy life as a single woman and that women don’t need men to make them happy.

Happiness is in the hands of the doer.

This advice, along with the red and green flags, is well-received by her viewers.

But it’s not only her audience that enjoys the content.

“I like making videos,” she said in an interview with Good Morning America, “It makes me feel like I’m young. It makes me feel younger.”

She also appreciated the fact that the internet treats her like their grandmother and that all of her viewers and supporters are her grandchildren.
