Do you still remember your graduation day? What were you feeling back then? This day is both exciting yet touching. It’s that one special day that you will remember for the rest of your life.
You’d even have flashbacks of the days you woke up early just to go to school, to the days where you had to stay up late to finish a project. Oh, do you still remember the times where you had misunderstandings with your classmates? How about those memories of fun and games even the pranks you played on each other?
The Holy Trinity College of General Santos City in South Cotabato in the Philippines went viral when its graduating students danced to the High School Musical (HSM) song “We’re All in This Together” on their graduation day.
The start of the video shows a total of 392 students wearing green graduation gowns and caps. The song “We’re All in This Together” started playing and the students started dancing.
Ric Sherwin Versoza, one of the students who performed the dance said to his interview with Coconuts Manila that the video was taken last March 27, 2019, (Wednesday) at the Lagao Gymnasium in General Santos City, Philippines.
He also shared in his interview that it was his teacher, Mr Jeatrin Oro who choreographed the High School Musical dance and they were able to do it in just 2 weeks even though some of the dance steps were hard.
Ric also shared that they also sang “A Million Dreams” from the 2018 movie The Greatest Showman.
When asked what he felt about the ceremony and their performance, he said that it made him feel good but also sad that this means they will already part ways.
“Here and now it’s time for celebration
I finally figured it out
That all our dreams have no limitations
That’s what it’s all about”
It also marks a new beginning. It can be quite scary for these kids but it’s also the time to start their new journey. To say goodbye to memories and old friends and say hello to a whole new adventure that awaits.
“We enjoyed it a lot but also at the same time, [it was] sad for it is also our last dance… And the last time we’ll be seeing each other,” he shared with his interview.
Seeing these students dance on their special day would even bring us back our own memories of our own graduation day.
People loved the dance video and performance of the students, comments about how good their presentation was and how it was a new and creative way of singing their graduation song.
The YouTube viral video that was uploaded by Elixir Viktor of the said dance already has 1.9M views and is still being shared throughout social media platforms.
