In a society where carrying a cell phone is as commonplace as wearing underwear, youโre bound to encounter a wrong number or two.
Usually, these encounters donโt go much further than a polite responseโ or no response at all. But when a recent university grad named Justin Campbell accidentally texted the wrong number, he ended up with a bit more than what he bargained for!

This past year, Justin graduated with a degree from Coastal Carolina University. After walking the stage and receiving his diploma, the young man decided to take a photo with a friend.

Trying to send the photo to his friend, Justin enters a few numbers. He makes a mistake dialing, however, and ends up sending the photos to a good-humored stranger named Roger Hawkins.
Justin tells BuzzFeed, โI just put one number in the wrong place.โ
Rogerโs reply, however, surprises him.

Roger, a real estate agent who moonlights as a punk rock singer on the side, replied with an enthusiastic selfie, writing โCongrats fellas the skies the limit!โ and attaching an iTunes playlist of motivational speeches, such as the following:
Justin got a good laugh from the events, taking to Twitter to share the random text encounter.
He tells BuzzFeed, โThe link was, like, the icing on the cake [โฆ] Itโs a good linkโ it really is. [Roger] is a really good dude. Thatโs the vibe I get from him.โ

However, in Justinโs excitement to chronicle the encounter online, he forgets to censor Rogerโs phone numberโ and Twitter goes absolutely crazy.
Areโฆare we all going to blow up his phone now?!

Twitter users ultimately end up sending Roger, what has been described by Inspire More as, a โsignificantโ amount of texts.
Roger, the fun-loving guy he is, however, was not at all bothered by the barrageโฆ

Even responding to furry friends too!

Since going viral, Roger has been going out of his way to motivate other graduates, texting encouraging messages such as the following:

He tells BuzzFeed, โThereโs a part of me that really wants to be encouraging to young peopleโ or anybody thatโs working hard to get somewhere against the odds.โ
Justin is confident that he and Roger will be staying in touch, telling BuzzFeed, โHeโs a good guy. Iโm open to hitting him up every now and then to see how heโs doing.โ Roger, for his part, agrees, telling BuzzFeed he would love to see what Justin does with his future.
