If you haven’t heard of Grace VanderWaal yet, it’s likely that you will soon.

The wunderkind was just 12-years-old when she became the Season 11 winner of America’s Got Talent.

She was the youngest winner in 10 years.

Since then VanderWaal, who started composing songs at age 3 and is now 13, has landed a record deal with Columbia Records, released her first EP titled Perfectly Imperfect, and just released a new absolutely amazing single titled Moonlight which is available here on iTunes.

Here she is performing Moonlight for the very first time at VidCon 2017:

According to her Wikipedia page, she won the 2017 Radio Disney Music Award for Best New Artist, was on Billboard’s 2016 21 Under 21 list of “music’s hottest young stars, and was a finalist in the 2017 International Acoustic Music Awards in the Best Female Artist category, the youngest person to ever be a finalist.

She’s also donating funds to create an elementary school show choir in the East Ramapo Central School District where she went to school.

Basically, I am completely in love with her. I am not just in love with her because she’s from New York like me (she grew up in Kansas and now resides in Suffern), but because her music is just so beautiful. Her lyrics and sound are just so soulful and that of an old soul.

But VanderWaal’s rise to superstardom all started with her America’s Got Talent audition, where she completely floored the judges with her original song (yes original!) “I Don’t Know My Name.”

When VanderWaal told judge Simon Cowell that she was singing an original, he looked a little taken aback, but by the time he was finished he was likening her to one of the biggest pop stars around.

“What’s it about,” he asked.

She told him it was about her. He then asked her if she believed that she could win with her original song.

“Well, I mean miracles can happen so possibly,” she told him.

And with that, he said,” the stage is yours.”

Barely a minute into her song, the audience was cheering for her wildly. And by the end of her song, she had all four judges on their feet applauding her.

Judge Howie Mandel called her “a beautiful living, walking miracle.”

“I think you are the next Taylor Swift,” said Cowel.

We think so too and can’t wait for her full-length album due out in September!
