An interesting video posted on Youtube has recently garnered some attention from the people on the internet and itโs easy to see why.
The video entitled โShe wanted a different look for promโ was posted by an amazing hairstylist account under the name The Hair Guru Carla.
It was a documentation of how she transformed a client.
The client came into Carlaโs salon rocking blonde curly afro hair. As the title implies, this client is about to go to the prom and wanted a tamed-down look.
According to Carla, her client โdoes not want to wear her natural hair.โ She requested a straight hairstyle with a classic part in the middle.
She needed a lace installation.
โShe is gonna have me install a lace front wig because she donโt want her color to show but she do not want to style her real hair,โ Carla narrated.
Then she started braiding her clientโs hair until everything was sleek and clean. She also shaved some baby hair out to make the look more put-together.
Then she started installing the wig.
She then proceeded to apply various hair products and covered all her natural hair up. Then, the lace front wig was glued in beautifully. At this point, it already looked so real!
The esteemed hairstylist continued to work her magic on her client. With every step she does, the wig was getting more and more natural-looking.
Itโs hard to think that it wasnโt her real hair.
Carla went on to add some makeup to make it look more seamless. Then, it was time for the wig-styling!
She added some hair products in, blowdried it, and ironed it out for that gorgeous straight hair. She started with the back part of the hair working it out all the way to the front.
As requested, the wig was parted in the middle.
There really is something so classy about middle-part hair paired with sleek, straight hair. Carla then began to clean up the clientโs hairline to perfection.
The client said she has never worn fake lashes before so Carla was kind enough to let her try some so she could decide if she wanted some for her prom or not.
So Carla also โinstalledโ lashes on her client.
โI am giving her a preview of how sheโs going to look with the lashes on versus her natural lashes,โ she said. โWhen the makeup artist does her makeup, she wanted to see how sheโs gonna look like with lashes.โ
โIโm not really good at installing these lashes, well, applying these lashes but I just wanted her to see how itโs gonna enhance the hairstyle,โ the hairstylist added.
Indeed, it truly complemented the hairstyle.
The overall result was just amazing! The beautiful client looked extremely happy with how everything turned out and we canโt blame her. It looked like she was born with it.
โI tried to make it as natural as possible, also with light baby hairs,โ Carla said. And weโre here to let her know it was 100% goal achieved!
