Every few months a new internet challenge arrives. There has been the mannequin challenge, running man challenge, bottle cap challenge and the Harlem shake challenge, to only name a few. When a challenge goes viral, thousands of video start to get uploaded with everyone giving the challenge their best shot.
Blanco Brown has given a new dance challenge trend, the Git Up challenge!
Blanco Brown is the singer behind the catchy song โThe Git Up.โ The lyrics describe a step by step dance tutorial. Blanco Brown even created a video tutorial to help dancers perfect the steps!
Many have taken it on as a challenge to dance it out, including this set of Nashville friends!
They are a sisterhood of women that formed a discipleship group and instead of a night on the town they decided to have fun with the latest internet challenge dance. In just a couple of hours they learned the choreography and recorded it.
Blanco Brown sings in the chorus:

Grab your sweetheart and spin out with โem

Take it to the left now and dip with it

There are seven girls in the โGit Upโ challenge and you can tell they have rehearsed. They have nicknamed their dance group the โGit Up Girlsโ for the dance challenge. These girls know how to get down to โThe Git Up!โ
When the second verse starts the girls move positions. The girls in the back move forward and the girls in the front go to the back. The transition goes as smoothly as rehearsed.
This way every girl has her time in the spotlight!
The chorus is not the only time Blanco sings dance instructions. Blanco Brown sings after the chorus:

Every girl has their own sense of style. Near the end of the songs each girl start to freestyle dance. This is when every girlโs unique personality shines through and you can tell they are having fun!
These Nashville girls do a great job dancing to โThe Git Upโ challenge! They are not the only ones that are making โThe Git Upโ challenge go viral though. Many dads have started to do the challenge with their young daughters too! The dads have started their own move, of twirling their daughter by their hand at the line โgrab your sweetheart.โ
The viral challenge has exploded into every age group! There is no age limit to doing โThe Git Upโ challenge. It is all about having fun and not worrying how perfect you can do it.
