At the age of ten, most of us can only think of playing to our heart’s content and using our energy in doing lots of fun games and activities. But for this amazing young girl from Las Vegas, playing only comes second because her passion is all about music and singing. Anna Christine was only 10 years old when she auditioned for the eighth season of America’s Got Talent, but her vocals are definitely way beyond her years!
This sweet girl’s love for music started at a very young age.
At the tender age of five, Anna’s parents already knew that she was meant to be a star. She was very fond of listening to music, singing jingles she heard from the radio or television and belting everything out on her own. Her love for singing and music was quite evident and her family just knew that she would pursue a career as an artist someday.
When she graced America’s Got Talent, which is considered to be one of the biggest stages in the world, and announced that she was only 10 years of age, everyone from the judges’ panel to the audience was shocked. Can you imagine a girl as young as her to have the confidence and courage needed to face a huge crowd and perform? Well, Anna Christine has done just that.
Her song choice shocked the judges and audience.
Sitting behind her piano, this talented young singer from Las Vegas absolutely wowed her audience with her own rendition of “House Of The Rising Sun” originally sung by the band “The Animals”. The iconic song came from the ’60s and for a singer as young as Anna, it is quite extraordinary for her to sing a song that is totally unexpected of her to sing! She was not even born yet when it went on air.
How does a voice like that come out of a such a tiny girl?
But, as they say, if you are a great singer, you can sing the phone book and it would still sound good. Anna totally nailed the song! Her voice was raw and powerful and full of emotion necessary to give the song the justice it deserves.
How can such a tiny girl give out that much vocal power? It was simply amazing to watch her. The judges were absolutely floored by her outstanding talent!
Her number one fan is who gave her the confidence needed to be in front of millions.
All throughout her AGT audition, Anna’s Mom never left her side and supported her to the best she can. When asked about being nervous about her audition, Anna quickly said,
“She’s always been there, and she always will be, and I don’t have to worry about anything as long as I’m with her.”
Anna might be the one playing the piano and singing her heart out in front of the judges and the audience, but deep inside, Anna took courage out of her Mom’s trust and support in her abilities and her talent. The strength they share is certainly admirable and this, I believe, is a major factor behind Anna’s courage to follow her passion and be all-out in her every performance.
As Anna wraps up her audition piece, everyone in the crowd just could not get enough of her amazing voice. She was beautiful, talented, confident and in her best element that night. She was totally mesmerizing to watch! What an amazing talent, indeed.
Obviously, the judges found her performance outstanding as well and they all voted for her to move to the semi-final round of the competition. There’s no stopping this young lady in reaching for her dreams!
