Kids can be a handful. Theyโre unpredictable and oftentimes, full of energy.
But arenโt these things what makes them so darn fun?
Times have changed
Unlike the generations before them, kids these days have a plethora of information at their fingertips. With a push of a few buttons and a couple of swipes, they can find things that might otherwise be long forgotten.

According to an article published by The Guardian, a survey found that 53% of kids between the ages of five and 16-years-old owned a mobile phone by age seven. In addition, by age 11, 90% owned their own phones.

One of the things that teens are being exposed to is the music from the past. This may not come as much of a surprise since, according to Tracklib, 15% of songs on Billboardโs Hot 100 consisted of samples. That number only continues to grow.
Because young people have music streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music at their fingertips, they often come across songs that they might not have heard of without it being sampled in another song or stumbled across it on a music streaming site.

A fun-loving family
The Kabs family from the United Kingdom might know a thing or two about exposing their kids to music from the past. The family is a social media phenom whose social media pages boast nearly a million subscribers and followers. Their YouTube channel alone has over 500,000 subscribers.

The family makes family-friendly, funny skits, and then shares them with the world. Needless to say, this family of five always has a story to tell or an adventure to document.
A good chunk of their videos features one of the two daughters, Teija, 11, or Maliya, 3, singing and dancing in the front seat of their parentโs car with their father, Tay.

These videos are very entertaining particularly because the young girls know all the lyrics by heart and dance so joyously that they often hop out of the (unmoving) car. More impressively is that they frequently sing songs that are way before their time.

The joke is that the father, who is a DJ, sits stoically in the driverโs seat and appears quite confused by his daughterโs silly antics.
Parents just donโt understand
In one video, Teija dances to โApacheโ by The Sugarhill Gang, โPandaโ by Desiigner, and โDropโ by Timbaland and Magoo.

Perhaps the funniest thing about this video is how serious Teija looks throughout all of her silly dances. She effortlessly switches between being a serious dancer to a smiling kid having fun by her fatherโs side.

At the end, she becomes so excited that she hops out and begins going full throttle on a dance move. Hilariously, her father begins to drive off as she continues to dance outside of the car.

When she realizes that he will indeed leave her, she scrambles to stop him.
โDaddy!โ she yells.

Of course, it is all scripted and no harm befalls upon either of them. It appears they film these dance skits at the same, quiet and safe location.
Comments from their fanbase reflect that their silly antics are all in good fun.
โ๐ ๐ The daddy kills me every time. He has the same expression, with both girlsโฆ.theyโre too cute๐๐ฝโ
โI canโt wait to see this Father w/his daughters as teenagers. Gonna be some hilarious times!!!โ
โWatching Teija break out always puts a smile on my face. You go girl. Let it fly. Always be you.โ
