Parents will do anything for their kids. And if they ever saw their precious ones getting hurt physically, mentally or emotionally, they will surely be there to stand up for them.
A mother went to the community pool with her two kids- a daughter and a son.
The kids were having a really great time until a couple of kids approached them. Two young boys started grabbing their shark toys.
Her daughter was kind enough to let the boys play with her toys for a while. In fact, she didnโt see their actions as a bad thing. She willingly let the other boys play with the shark toys.
After getting the toys, the boys went a few feet away to play.
However, minutes after, they were back and they were making fun of the little girl right in front of her face.
They were calling her fat and ugly.
The mom heard everything and her heart broke for her precious daughter. She has done everything in her power to raise someone whoโs kind and generous. Yet, the two boys had the courage to call her names.
As a mom, she was there to protect her kid.
So, she walked over to the edge of the pool and confronted the boys. She told them that thereโs no reason for them to act that way to her daughter because she let them play with her toys. Plus, she made it clear that the boys need to say sorry.
Unfortunately, they didnโt.
The mom didnโt push the issue too far. In her mind, she needed to console her daughter who was on the verge of tears.
Then, the mother of one of the boys swam towards them and she was furious.
She started shouting that no one should be talking to her boys like that. She was defending the kidsโ bad behavior.
Right then, the girlโs mom saw red.
โYour children called my daughter fat and ugly after she was kind enough to let them play with her toys. They need to apologize.โ- she said.
But then, the boysโ mother replied:
โWell, only one of them is my child. The other is a friend we brought with us from next door. They didnโt do that, and you will not speak to them that way.โ
She didnโt clearly care about how they acted and she wasnโt going to admit their mistakes. She was just there, raising her voice and scolding the girlโs mom.
The boys and the mother didnโt apologize. They didnโt even feel remorse for what had happened. They just went on with their day, feeling like they are on the right side of things.
Bullying needs to be stopped and kids shouldnโt be encouraged to behave in such a way. Bullying harms the victims and forces them to shy away from other people and feel bad about themselves.
Kids need to behave properly and parents need to start raising kinder children.
