Alexandra’s voice has been compared favorably to Parton’s, with many viewers saying that she is one of the few artists who has managed to do the song justice.

According to Alexandra’s Facebook About page, the young crooner has been working hard to break into the country music scene after having been designated a pop and R&B artist by her record label.

Alexandra explains, “I spent a lot of time working with rappers, writing and singing the hooks for their songs. St. Louis has a lot of very talented rappers, including Nelly who I spend some time in the studio with. I made a lot of friends in R&B and hip hop that continue to this day.”

If Alexandra’s voice sounds familiar, you may recognize her from her 2013 single “No More”, which spent over 3 weeks at #1 on the New Music Weekly Top 40 chart.

In a family of athletes, the young girl says she sometimes felt like the odd man out, explaining:

“I was sort of the black sheep for a while. My parents wanted me to go to college, and softball offered me that opportunity, but I couldn’t play college softball and take the classes in performance and music I wanted at the same time.”

Luckily, she decided to follow her heart, ultimately making a growing name for herself and amassing a crazy number of social media followers.
