The people who came up with these genius designs must have had a few screws loose upstairs. That’s the only way to explain them. From playground slides that drop off into nowhere to bowls and plates with pictures of tiny ants on them, these designs simply don’t make any sense.
We have no idea what the designers were thinking. However, it is pretty hilarious to speculate about them. We know we were dying of laughter going through this list. Although, the truth is that if there was any logical explanation for these poor designs, then they probably wouldn’t be on the list in the first place.
The whole point of a wheelchair ramp is for people in wheelchairs to be able to get up and down without using stairs. However, this one is actually a twisting set of stairs. It would be pretty much impossible for anyone to use.
It looks like someone at the State Department really messed up. Somehow, this ridiculous passport photo was created. We imagine it was a result of a glitch in the algorithm.
Unfortunately, whoever designed these left and right television remote buttons got them mixed up. They are pointing in the wrong directions. It’s a big mistake.
This kid’s coloring book image is supposed to be celebrating Passover. However, the candle placement is something that the artist didn’t really think through. The glowing circles around the candles make the image appear somewhat pornographic.
We’re not sure if this is a fail or an amazing advertisement. We suppose it depends on whether you are a fan of
The Lord of the Rings or not. The dentist’s office has pictures on the wall of Gollum, before and after getting his teeth cleaned.
Something like this could only happen in Russia. For whatever reason, someone put a fence right through a piece of playground equipment. They decided it was easier to cut the bars off of the ladder than to relocate it.
If you ever have to use this shower, we hope that you are super skinny. The entrance is only as wide as a single shoe. You might have to grease your body with soap just to slide through it.
These new toilet doors were installed in the student’s dormitory recently. The student found them hilarious. After all, they are a bit see-through.
9. Artistic Advertisement
The advertisements on this telephone booth weren’t installed in the correct order. They put the wrong photos on the top and bottom. It makes it look like some sort of weird abstract art piece.
Ants are the last thing anyone wants to see while eating. Yet, these plates have hundreds of life-like ant images on them. It’s extremely unappetizing.
11. Bathroom Presentation
This toilet was installed in the middle of a room where presentations are given. There is zero privacy whatsoever. If anyone needs to go, the whole audience will be watching.
The giant pit might be roped off with caution tape. However, the slide still leads right into it. If a kid isn’t paying attention while playing, they might end up taking a very big fall.
Do you notice anything strange about this gum package? It turns out, they reduced the amount of gum by one piece for a total of 17 pieces instead of 18 so that you would have a place to grip the package when opening it.
14. Interrupted Projector Beam
This school just installed a new projector. The only problem is that there is a strip of lights in the way. The lights completely block it!
The Warwickshire Police department actually posted this photo on social media in an attempt to track down a suspect. It is the artist’s rendition of what the suspect looks like. It’s hilariously bad.
The design of this car leaves something to be desired. It looks like it was put together in someone’s garage as a hobby. It might drive, but there is no way it is safe.
This escalator leads right into the wall. We’re not sure what people are supposed to do. If anyone wants to use it, they would have to jump over the railing.
Here we have a chocolate bar shaped like Spongebob Squarepants. It sounds like a great idea. However, in reality, it’s much creepier.
19. Photo Technology Fail
One of the fans was trying to take a panorama shot at the sports game. However, this man stood up right as the photo was being taken. It caused the proportions of the photo to be a little stretched in some areas.
This painting shows two of every animal getting on Noah’s Ark. There is just one problem — both of the lions are males. It is supposed to be one male and one female of each animal species.
The design of this advertisement causes the mouths to be very elongated. It is very distracting. We imagine that most people don’t even pay attention to what the actual message of the ad is.
There is no logical explanation for what is going on in this picture. Its a man in a space unicorn shirt, wearing 3D glasses, and playing with a fidget spinner. Hopefully, this isn’t how the future history books depict our generation.
If you try and use this slide, you’re going to fly straight into the cement wall. It’s also very hard to climb up the ladder. It’s pretty much the worse place possible for it.
Perfectionists will be driven crazy by this one. The volume control circle on Netflix isn’t centered on the line. It’s slightly off-centered to the left.
Here we have a really genius invention. It’s a can opener for cans that already have openers on them. If you ever need a little bit of extra leverage, it will come in handy.
Instead of planting the trees in the dirt areas, they dug two additional random holes in the ground. It looks ridiculous. It’s one of the worst landscaping features ever created.
27. Recycling Organization
It’s a good idea to separate different types of recycling. Although, one of the bins in this set up is completely missing. There is no bin for the paper and food waste.
This landscaping is pretty awful, but that’s not the real problem. Look where the crosswalk is. It doesn’t line up with the sidewalk at all.

This textbook has a video in it. Unfortunately, videos in printed form aren’t watchable. It’s a really goofy thing to put in a book.
There is a traffic light at this intersection. It’s not easy to see though. It’s squeezed between a light pole and a billboard.
It’s okay to have water drainage underneath a road. The keyword though is underneath. This one runs right across the road and it isn’t covered up. Cars will drive right into it.
It’s a pretty giant piece of sushi that the man is eating. We wonder if it is an accurate representation. After all, it is on the cover of the restaurant menu. However, the most random part is the trashcan that they added in the bottom left corner.
Gelato is delicious. However, this is the first time we have ever seen Viagra-flavored gelato before. What does that even taste like? Medicine?
We have a feeling that this gate isn’t very effective at keeping people out. After all, someone could just walk right around it. What’s the point of it even being there?
This staircase runs directly into the ceiling. We suppose it’s useful if you want to get to the absolute highest point inside the building. Although, there is also absolutely nothing there.
The person who designed this sweater should win an award. It’s just so stylish and beautiful! Where can we buy one of these?
This cellphone supposedly floats on water. That’s what the advertisement says. However, it is sitting on the bottom of the fish tank. It sinks like a lead sinker.
Shoes are supposed to have cool logos on them that say something positive about the brand. However, these ones have pictures of sperm on them. At least, that is what the logo looks like…
Winnie the Pooh is one of the most lovable children’s characters. This stuffed animal version is downright scary though. It looks like Pooh bear could bite your hand off.
It’s important for designers to pack as many seats onto a bus as possible. However, in this one, they conveniently forget to leave any legroom for passengers. There is literally no way to sit on the seat.
Neither of these two drawers is able to be opened completely. They both run into each other’s handles. Sadly, it makes them both pretty worthless.
There is no better place to keep your beer than in a fanny pack that looks like a beer belly. It’s pretty funny, but also, pretty gross. We can’t believe anyone would actually buy this.
For some odd reason, this glass has a little handle on the bottom. It’s not going to help you hold the glass at all. In fact, it probably just gets in the way.
It’s hard to tell the time when the clock hand is off-center. We have no idea what the real hour is. Next time, the cellphone brand should probably just use numbers instead of a digital image of an analog clock.
