Ah, dads. They are whole different creatures in their own right. For some reason, you have very specific personality traits when you are a father. We can probably assume that you embarrass your children more often than not, you tell strange jokes (also known as โdad jokesโ), and you probably love a good sneaker from, say, New Balance.
Dads often embarrass us, especially when we are younger. They canโt help it โ it is just who they are. Thatโs not to say that they donโt get enjoyment from embarrassing their children, though. They definitely love doing it.
This one father, Sean, definitely loved the idea of embarrassing his daughter, Morgan. One day in 2016, Morgan missed the bus on her second day of high school, so he saw it as a perfect opportunity to have a little bit of fun.
โMorgan missed the bus so her dad is taking her to school,โ Sean said to the camera as they were already in the car. โAnd Iโm going to walk her into the school and this is going to be great.โ
Morgan is feeling super embarrassed. She is covering her face and laughing. โNo youโre not!โ She exclaims.
โWeโre going to record the experience because when Morgan forgets things or is late, it brings dad additional opportunities for joy,โ he says.
โStop, stop, stop!โ Morgan says while laughing.
What makes it even funnier is that Sean was actually the project manager at her high school. This makes things a little bit more interesting. Since he actually worked there, it will make it much easier for him to find ways to embarrass his daughter.
Morgan is still in complete denial and begs her dad to stop calling her out.
โMorgan was the first kid in the school when she was about 4. Got to come in and visit the construction site before the school was finished,โ he says. โTaking my kid to school!โ
His daughter is still laughing and responds in typical teenage fashion. โPeople are going to think youโre so weird,โ she says. Something tells us that her dad probably doesnโt care about coming off as weird!
โBut the problem is I donโt really care if people think that Iโm weird,โ he says. Okay, yep, called it!
โYouโre worried that people are going to think your dad is weird,โ he calls her out as she texts her friends on her cell phone. โThanks Morgan, I love you.โ
Her dad is clearly ecstatic about whatโs going to happen when they film this video. He also teases that his subscribers will love the video and Morgan quickly responds, saying he doesnโt have subscribers.
But what Morgan doesnโt know is that this video actually ended up going viral, reaching nearly 3.5 million views. Not too shabby for this daddy-daughter duo who were just trying to get themselves to school in time!
Toward the end, Morgan keeps urging her father to take her through the back way of the school so that thereโs no way for him to embarrass her, but something tells us that he is not going to listen.
