60 Designers Who Took No Time To Think Things Through

Designing is not something that can be done by all. It needs creativity and imagination and sometimes, humor. Having the talent for design is a must for the work to be captivating, effective or functional. However, not all designers are gifted with this talent.

There are some people behind the pen who are simply not fit to be there. Why? You’ll definitely know the reason after completing the next slides. Be ready to laugh out loud or possibly cringe because some of these fails are just too epic for you to handle!

1. Toilet-sink combo

Whoever thought that a sink can be connected to a toilet thru a slide probably did not think of this from happening. I don’t even think it’s efficient or cheap, considering the amount of porcelain needed to complete this unnecessary connection.

2. Bus station not meant for rainy days

Bus stations are supposed to be made for all seasons so passengers are always comfortable and safe. Well, this bus station in Malaysia seems to be made for sunny days only.

3. This is painful to look at

Not sure if this is really part of the design, but simply looking at this pointed corner makes me feel pain. Overlapping parts is not something great for furniture such as this.

4. Are these really fancy rugs?

These are supposed to be fancy rugs. In my opinion, they look like they’ve been pooped on.

5. A terribly indirect path

Talk about beating around the bush! Well, there isn’t exactly any bush here, but this is probably the most indirect path I’ve seen!

6. Watching yourself poop

Watching yourself as you poop is already a questionable idea. But, watching yourself over and over and over again is simply ridiculous!

7. Definitely not a good attraction

There are various attractions in New York, but definitely not the bombing of the twin towers! The graphic designer for this ad just committed a grave sin.

8. A seat that’s always wet

Can you imagine sitting on a toilet seat that’s already wet? Ew! This seat is not really wet, though. It’s just the unfortunate design.

9. Not a bloody floor

No, you are not looking at a bloody floor. It’s some really crappy design, and to think that this is a hospital floor!

10. Who thought of this?

Transluscent doors in common bathroom stalls? This design idea is completely nuts.

11. Tooth with genitals

As far as I know, teeth are not supposed to be male or female. But this graphic artist thought “why not?” and gave them this tooth the decency he thought he needed to show.

12. Pooping water

The placement of the water in this ad is just so unfortunate. The woman looks like she’s pooping huge amounts of water from her bum!

13. Someone hates kids

Oops, the font size in this poster is just off. They want to help children but appear to want to do the opposite because of the misleading graphics!

14. Useless in the dark

Glow-in-the-dark watches are great. But without glowing hands, how are you suppose to use a watch like this?

15. Not a crime scene

You are not looking at a crime scene here. These are rose-themed bed spreads with matching pillow, but they look like the aftermath of a murder scene!

16. This stairwell makes me dizzy

I may not be drunk right now, but looking at this stairwell makes me want to throw up. It totally dizzying!

17. Really, now?

If you are so against plastic overuse, why package your books about using less plastic in, well, plastic? One should really think heavily on the packaging as well, otherwise, people might think that this is the work of a hypocrite.

18. A terrible clock

Is this even a wall clock? It disregards all the use of a proper wall clock and placed numbers at a very random order on this wall!

19. Suction cups underneath your feet

Because of these suction cups, the person wearing these shoes makes sounds whenever he walks onto smooth and tiled surfaces. People are staring because of this really unusual design.

20. No, this is not okay

Whoever thought that this is okay must be out of their minds. Clearly, the design of this area was not well thought of.

21. Hood on or hood off?

This hoodie means well. But when the hood is not worn, it becomes the exact opposite of what they wanted to advocate.

22. No!

There are things that will never go together. This is a concrete example of that.

23. How to make a bench useless

Adding trash bins on top of the park benches is the easiest way to render them useless. What a nice job…or not.

24. No Everything Im Is Possible

Okay, this is one impossible read. Literally.

25. This cup will hurt you

Looking for a sure-fire way to wake you up in the morning? Get this cup! The pain should keep you up the whole day.

26. “Wifeyebrows”

Uhm, what am I looking at? These “wifeyebrows” are totally creepy! I don’t understand how someone can smile after having those brows on her face.

27. Another coffee cup from hell

Let me give you another coffee cup from hell. Ouch!

28. Creepy Pikachu

Someone saw this creepy Pikachu from Arkansas. we couldn’t agree more on the “creepy” part.

29. Death-defying toilet

Can you imagine the risk you’re putting yourself in whenever you need to pee or poop with a very heavy washing machine on top of your head? This is completely ridiculous, not to mention unsafe!

30. Weird sofa

Weird sofa alert! Why would anybody think of adding faces to a furniture, right?

31. Not how mirrors work

We know this packaging design means well, but that is not really how mirrors work. It is unintentionally horrifying!

32. Uhm, what?

Is this a code that I need to solve? At least, I can be sure that this is a meat shop.

33. I smell on fear you?

Okay, another puzzle. Or just misaligned words and bad design?

34. Useless ramp

Ramps are supposed to be used by people in wheelchairs. What is the use of this ramp if it is next to three steps of stairs?

35. This is just too much

Here’s a monstrosity, bumblebee, foot guitar. What a weird combination and frankly, this is just a bit too much.

36. This dice

Someone found this dice that doesn’t differentiate the number 6 from the number 9. Better have white paint at home if you’re ging to buy that.

37. What are the loops for?

This is a potentially unsafe way to wear masks. It does not give me a feeling of security at all.

38. Looks suspicious

First of all, the lemon is squeezed the wrong way. So, where does that suspicious sauce come from?

39. Patrick and Sponge Bob from hell

They say these are Patrick Starr and Sponge Bob Squarepants. But I clearly don’t remember Patrick havingonly one eye or Sponge Bob looking as creepy!

40. This poorly designed Dino

Oops, this Dino’s trigger is at the wrong place. He doesn’t look too cute either, with his tiny arms glued to his chest and his humongous feet.

41. These are school supplies

It’s a good thing kids 5 years old and up can distinguish between food and things, or else they might mistake these erasers for actual candies. The name of the product is not helping either.

42. This teddy bear

Teddy bears are supposed to be cute and cuddly. This one is simply terrifying and shows a split personality not meant for really young kids to see at their age.

43. Really awful design

A sponge is used for cleaning. But this sponge looks very dirty even when it was never opened. Doesn’t it look too moldy?

44. Totally useless guide

First of all, the bottle is too opaque to gauge the liquid inside. And even if it wasn’t, the guide for the liquid level is upside down!

45. A hanging unicorn

Isn’t this hanging unicorn giving you the creeps? I will never leave this weird looking thing next to my baby.

46. I’m speechless

This image left me speechless. No, I literally can’t speak because I don’t know what it says.

47. Girly hands

Is this a mistake in the design of the ad? Why is a manly guy wearing bright red nail polish? Am I missing something here?

48. What eagle?

That does not look like an eagle at all. It looks more like a pheasant throwing up an egg.

49. She already won!

What a ridiculous pacagig design! For starters, she already won. And in case you haven’t seen it yet, there are three pieces that are floating. Wow!

50. Useless roof

Talk about a pointless roof. It does not protect people from the rain, and apparently from the birds’ poop as well.

51. This awful instruction guide

Okay, you say “one click” so why do I need to click twice? And what is this creepy looking finger in your guide?

52. Not for the tall people

Apparently, tall people were not considered when this building was designed. Poor guy.

53. Oops!

This may be a realistic scenario, but let’s hope no mom ever had to endure this kind of situation while changing their little ones’ diapers beside this mocking sign.

54. Just Why?

Whoever thought that men like to look at each other will peeing is out of their minds. Just, Why?

55. Not a great choice of carpet

This is a hotel and this is their brilliant choice of carpet. Certainly not something I would like to see when I check in.

56. Something’s not quite right

Okay, I see that something is definitely not right about this. Doesn’t her head look a bit too huge for her body?

57. Three-legged bowl

The fact that someone actually thought that a bowl needs three legs is simply beyond me. The legs only made the bowl less functional and more prone to spills.

58. Her strawberry nose

Okay, we get it. The product is for the pores, but don’t you think putting a strawberry for a nose gives away that this is just a fake ad?

59. Masters of Woisture?

They may be masters of moisture, but this sign shows that they are certainly not masters of design. What an unfortunate fail this is.

60. Not for the tiny ones

And finally, let’s talk about this ATM that seems to have forgotten that not all people are beyond 6 feet in height. This guy had to step on a bucket just to get his money!
