Children and weddings don’t always mix. Sporting formal wear and having to sit still and be quiet aren’t exactly the easiest to ask of kids, especially those who just recently graduated from the toddler stage. If grownups tend to feel uneasy in formal social situations, imagine how the little ones must feel. But then again, not all kids share the same aversion for weddings and other events where they have to be on their best behavior and well, basically suck it up until the end.
Take this little girl who was chosen to be part of the wedding entourage. As one of the flower girls, she got to wear a beautiful black and white dress with large white flowers dotting the straps. Escorting her and the other flower girl was a ring bearer dressed in a tuxedo. The three looked just about ready to march down the aisle when the little girl saw familiar faces whom she just had to say hi to.

After taking just a few steps, she let out a loud “Hello!” to someone seated near the back. Then, she spotted her daddy who was already recording her moment. Her eyes lit up and she immediately greeted him. “Hi, daddy!”

Wedding guests couldn’t help but giggle at the interruption. After she approached him and said hi, the daddy encouraged her to continue walking down the aisle until she reached her mother who was waiting somewhere near the front.

It’s hard to even consider it an interruption. It had to be one of the most adorable moments of that particular wedding. How many flower girls gamely march down the aisle and manage to throw in a few cheery greetings here and there? Most little girls would either walk shyly, heads sort of tilted downwards, while some burst into tears and refuse to walk until a parent joins them.
While it’s true that kids and weddings aren’t the best combination, there’s no denying how entertaining, endearing, and fun it is to have them around.
