I wish I was on this flight so bad!

We all had our fair share of flight nightmares like someone pushing the back of our seat, snoring travelers, rowdy kids during flight, “Karen” on board, and a whole lot more.

On the other hand, we also had some beautiful experiences like flying with a celebrity, celebrations on board like a wedding proposal, and great in-flight services from the ever-reliable flight attendants.

And when we talk about great customer service from flight attendants, we are not just talking about them serving us snacks while in flight and their unceasing smiles.

We are talking about standup comedy.

Yes, you read that right! It’s a type of service that you don’t usually get from airline workers. In this viral video, however, a flight attendant hilariously delivered his pre-flight announcement and the passengers absolutely loved it!

Assuming the event happened not too long when the viral video was uploaded on YouTube, this funny pre-flight scene took place on a Southwest flight that was bound to Islip, New York in 2019. No pandemic yet, no face masks, and there were no hiding those beautiful smiles yet.

Just like any other flight, the crew on board must give everyone a pre-flight announcement. This includes the safety precautions that passengers must do during flight and in unfortunate times of emergency.

A witty flight attendant named Robert started his spiel by introducing the pilot, co-pilot, and another crew member who was about to demonstrate everything he was about to say.

He started off by narrating how to work on the seatbelt, who doesn’t know it? Well, this humorous aircraft crew dished out the instructions and said, “…in the event you have not been in an automobile since 1942, we’re going to show you how to fasten a seatbelt, watch closely. Do this. To unfasten it, you do that.”

He also sent a message to anyone who wouldn’t like his jokes.

Robert jokingly pointed out six exit points of the airplane, sounds like they’re free to go whenever they wish. This flight attendant is having none of the “boos” and “thumbs down” from the passengers.

He also reminded everyone about their life vests just in case the pilot decided to turn their plane into a cruise. The funny crew also reiterated that it’s a life vest and not a toilet seat cover.

All the while he’s joking around, Robert made sure that every reminder and in-flight precautions were set. He warned everyone that anywhere inside the plane, as we all know it, is a non-smoking area.

But for hard-headed passengers who’d like to smoke, he directed them to do it on two entertainment lounges situated on the left wing of the plane and the other on the right.

“Gone With the Wind” and “Bye Bye Birdie.”

These will happen to anyone who’d try to smoke while in flight, sounded like a joke but it’s indeed a stern warning.

Robert went on with the speech all the while pinching each with a joke. Everybody was literally laughing in their seats. If it’s your first time flying, you might want to have him as one of the flight attendants.

Turns out, Robert’s been a flight attendant for Southwest since 2005 and that wasn’t his first time doing that. He’s made many others laugh and it looks like he doesn’t plan on retiring nor stoping the jokes anytime soon.

He ended up his speech with a funny song to the tune of a famous kiddie song, “We love you. You love us. We’re much faster than the bus. We hope you enjoy our hospitality, marry one of us and you’d fly free.”

Thankfully, one of the passengers was able to record all the fun on camera. YouTube user Launch Gaming uploaded the funny video on his channel which now has over 37 million views!

Traveling soon? You might want to have Robert do the pre-flight announcement before you fly.
