That had to have been a lot of work, but it turned out awesome.

Ah, weddings. Whether it’s a formal church ceremony or a laid-back one at the beach, you pretty much know what to expect: aisles lined with pretty flower arrangements, the entourage sporting the same color, lots of posing and flashing lights, speeches, flower crowns, cake cutting… basically, the usual. Most weddings are truly romantic and breathtaking, but not all newlyweds can pull off one that’s unique and entertaining.

That’s why it’s refreshing for family, friends, and other guests to experience a wedding that strays from the typical. You know, one that’s followed by a reception that really entices everyone to get up, dance, let loose, and have fun instead of just remaining seated (quite stiffly) in formal garb, applauding politely at the gush-worthy moments.

The fun weddings are the ones where guests don’t have to be encouraged by the host to mingle.

They love the vibe, and they really want to celebrate the happy couple without pretenses – just like this incredibly delightful wedding reception.

The striking blonde bride and her dashing groom did the unthinkable – convince their guests to learn three dances for their wedding reception. How creative is that?

The supportive family and friends of the couple gamely obliged.

It sure didn’t look like anyone was forced into doing it. The happy smiles, the laughter, and the cheering all caught on video proves that it wasn’t just for the benefit of the newlyweds. It truly was a fun-for-all flash mob that kept the positive vibes going.

There’s no telling exactly how they went about it, either. I mean, how do you organize rehearsals so your guests could learn the dances in time for the reception? Moreover, how do you make this happen without anyone grumbling or declining? Talk about impressive.

Dressed in a stylish white minidress and ballet flats, the happy bride showed off her killer moves, backed up by an enthusiastic wedding entourage dancing gamely behind her. Other wedding guests looked on eagerly, waiting to see what else the reception had in store.

The choreography was fun, fresh, and nothing short of creative. The steps had everyone grooving happily to “Timber” by Ke$ha.

Bridesmaids and groomsmen traded moves as they danced, prompting even more clapping and dancing from everybody in the room. Even the younger members of the wedding entourage got up and danced. Official wedding videographers weren’t the only ones documenting the dance – even other guests had their smartphones in the air as they recorded the flash mob.

The bride and groom had solo parts in the dance in which the wedding party clapped and cheered them on.

What also made the flash mob a delight to watch were the different dance types incorporated into the routine.

It was a classic-meets-modern type of number that everyone in the room could relate to. No wonder everyone was bobbing their heads, clapping, and cheering. There was country line dancing footwork, swing, and even rave inspired fist pumping.
