Firefighters are underrated heroes. They undergo extensive training in order to learn how to swiftly respond to emergency situations, extinguish hazardous fires, and rescue individuals whose lives are at risk.
It’s no easy job, that of a firefighter. You have to be alert, prompt, and bold. There’s no turning back when you rush inside a burning establishment or risk your own life to help put out forest fires.
These firefighters sacrifice so much. That’s why it’s so refreshing to see them take a break from the chaos of tense circumstances.
And even in everyday situations, they prove how well they rise up to challenges.
Check out the Greenville Fire Department’s contribution to the lip sync challenge.
What’s the lip sync challenge? It’s one of those trends that took the internet by storm and had everyone involved – even police, sheriff, and fire departments.
There are no strict rules. In fact, the only thing you need to do is have fun with it! That’s what this team of firefighters did. Let’s not forget to mention how visually pleasing this video of theirs is, if you know what we mean.
“My House” by Flo Rida kicks off the number as a firefighter opens the door and shows viewers around while moving along to the beat and mouthing the lyrics. You’ll see firefighters engaging in different activities during their downtime: preparing food and coffee in the kitchen, relaxing on couches, and working out – all while lip syncing to the catchy song.
Who knew it would be this fun to watch firefighters off-duty? They definitely deserve to kick back and relax.
After a short tour of the indoor area, the cameraman walks outside and shows parked firefighting vehicles. This is one fireman’s cue to jump on the vehicle and transition to a change of scenery.
Now the vehicle stops by a fire hydrant and a team gets off. “Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO plays and wouldn’t you know it, the heroic firefighters gamely show off their moves as they get soaked down with water.
From feigning fierce poses as they dance to getting silly and wiggling their butts and hips in time with the beat, you can tell the men are having fun just goofing off and dancing it all away.
It’s a vibe you definitely want to get on!
To cap off the entertaining lip-sync challenge performance, the team showed a post-fire scene as “Pink Houses” by John Mellencamp plays.
While everyone is fully aware of the intensity of a firefighter’s job, it’s nice to know they’re just like us: hardworking individuals who need as much time to de-stress, have fun, laugh, and relax. Dancing and singing are definitely for both the young and young at heart, as demonstrated by the Greenville Fire Department.
It was such a delightful video to watch that it garnered over 2 million views on YouTube.
