After a long, hard day of work don’t you just want to go home and be lazy or maybe go get a drink somewhere to relax?
These hardworking fire rescue members had a different idea at the end of their shift. They watched multiple Git Up Challenge tutorial videos to learn the dance. Fire rescue members know that preparation matters when starting a new challenge.
Once they fire rescuers felt prepared, they created their own Git Up Challenge dance video to have some fun together after their shift.
The Git Up Challenge is a dance challenge to Blanco Brown’s song “The Git Up.” The lyrics of the song are the dance moves for the challenge. Blanco Brown put on YouTube his own tutorial for people to watch and learn, alongside his music video. Thousands of people have uploaded their version to the Git Up Challenge.
We have to wonder if these fire rescuers watched Blanco Brown’s tutorial!
These fire rescuers want to let everyone see that they not only can put out fires, but they can dance too.
They can even dance in their fire rescue gear, not many people can pull those moves off in that heavy gear, but these fire rescuers are used to moving fast in that gear. The beginning of their Git Up Challenge video shows that these fire rescuers are also skilled in videography because they went all out on their challenge.
The fire rescuers make sure to show off their flag, vehicles, and emblem before their dance.
These fire rescuers are volunteer and deserve to have fun after spending their own time volunteering to help their community.
Six members of the Alnwick Haldman Fire Rescue start to dance in front of their clean fire vehicles and they look prepared.
Most importantly these fire rescue volunteers are having fun.
Every individual gets a moment to shine in a solo shot and they all try to make the most of their moment. Some dance with the help of their suspenders, while others tip or take off their helmet to substitute as cowboy hat.
Instead of cowboy boots, these dancers are dancing in their heavy work boots. Yet, that is not slowing them down. The video gives many close ups of the fire rescuers boots to show that they have the dance steps down perfectly in tune.
The volunteers clearly have been on a dance floor before this.
When Blanco Brown sings to “do the butterfly” the fire rescuers all get big smiles on their faces. This move has all of them moving and laughing, which is so fun to watch.
The video was uploaded to YouTube for everyone to enjoy their example of the Git Up Challenge.
These heroes show that everyone can have fun, no matter how stressful their job is.
