How are you wearing your shoes? Are you wearing them with the right clothes? Or are you simply wearing them whatever you get from the closet and hope they’ll both work magically?
We’ve got news for you.
Different shoes work with different outfits. What may work for one outfit may not work for the other. And when you wear the right clothes for the right shoes, you’re going to look fabulous.
DON’T wear regular cut pants with knee-high boots

For example, while it’s tempting, please stop wearing knee-high boots with regular pants or jeans. It’s going to make you and your boots lumpy and frumpy. No woman wants to look that way.
So please stop wearing knee-high boots with regular-fit pants. What should you wear them with? Click next!

Wear Skinny Jeans With Knee-High Boots
Always wear knee-high boots with skinny jeans. Knee-high boots will make your legs look long and skinny jeans will give you that effect. Do you want to know what else will make your legs look like it’s a mile long? Match the color of your pants with your boots. If you’re wearing black knee-high boots, wear black pants or jeans. Gray boots? Gray jeans. You get the drift.
Now maybe you don’t like wearing skinny jeans. It’s up to you but you can always just wear the skinny jeans whenever you wear your knee-high boots.

DON’T wear short boots with dresses
Ankle booties are a no-no with dresses. Ankle booties cut off your legs and make them look shorter.
You do not want to have clothes and shoes that emphasize what’s wrong with your body. Avoid this at all costs!

DO wear a longer boot with dresses
Instead, wear boots that are a little taller and higher. They don’t need to be knee-high boots, even just a few inches above your ankles will work.
Dresses emphasize your legs. And these types of boots will make your legs look longer and leaner.

DON’T wear opposite shoe color to clothing
Would you like to wear your white shoes or even light-colored shoes? Can you pair them with something dark? What do you think?
The answer is a big NO! It looks out of place and it just looks strange.

DO match shoe color to clothing
Match your shoe color with your outfit. If you’re wearing light-colored shoes or white shoes, make sure that your outfit is in the same family.
And that goes the same for dark shoes, wear dark-colored clothes to match your shoes.

DON’T have “bulge” with boots
Have you ever experienced seeing that bulge near the bottom of your boots where your jeans end? Yeah, it doesn’t look as good as you think it is.
Shea Whitney described it perfectly, “Leg. Bulge. Boot. No good.” And that bulge between your leg and the top, that cannot be there.

DO tuck in socks for no bulge
How do you solve this problem? Solve it with a sock. Wear high socks (no ankle socks) and tuck your jeans inside your sock.
Then put on your boots. Bulge be gone! Yes, good!

DON’T make cuff too thick and bulky
Do you want to cuff the bottom of your jeans? Really? Well, whether this is so outdated or not, if you really want to cuff your jeans, there’s something you can not do ever. Never ever make your cuffs thicker than an inch. Anything above an inch should be illegal.
It makes your legs short and stubby. Who wants that?

DO have small cuff with ankle showing
No one is sure why this works but it does. And look, it makes your leg look long and leaner.

DO show a little ankle and not cuff jeans
And make sure that you’re still showing a little ankle.

DON’T wear socks that show
How do you wear your sneakers? There are some who wear it with a sweater and jeans while others wear it with a dress. Some would debate with your outfit of choice but we believe it’s still subjective.
What is not subjective is when you wear your sneakers with your socks in clear view. Don’t do it!

DO wear ‘no show’ socks
Instead use footie socks that go below your ankle. Show off your ankle, girl! Wear pants or jeans with the right length and don’t let your socks show when wearing jeans.
Let that ankle breathe!

DON’T wear a red shoe with red pants
Got a hot pair of red shoes that you want to wear at your next event or party? Bold choice of color. You are very brave for choosing to wear red shoes. Not everyone has the courage to wear such a loud color.
One thing to keep in mind when wearing red is don’t wear red clothes with it, too. It’s loud on loud and it’s just too loud.

DO wear red shoe with contrasting pants
Instead, wear it with a contrasting color. You can wear black or white or another lighter color. The red shoes by themselves are already a bold statement.
You don’t need multiple bold statements to be remembered.

DO wear neutrals with a leopard print shoe
What about leopard print shoes or other shoes with a funky design? Wear neutral colors. The leopard print shoes or other funky designs are already very busy.
And if you wear busy clothes, it becomes overwhelming and will just confuse the other person.

DON’T wear flats with flare jeans
Ah flared jeans are tricky. They can either look good or not good on you. But when you do look good in them, never ever wear flats.
They are not flattering and it makes the flared jeans not flary but very lumpy.

DO wear heels with pointy toes with flare jeans
With flared jeans, there’s a “puddle” at the bottom, that’s why flats will never work with them. What will work is a little bit of elevation so wear your flared jeans with heels!
You can also wear pointy heels with flared jeans to be more relevant.
