Ashley is a farmer in upstate New York who was desperately seeking a fresh new look. Not just because she was tired of wearing baggy t-shirts, but also due to the fact she lost her confidence after having kids.
Fortunately, Rachael Ray and a team of magician stylists were there ready to take on the challenge.
Most would say that motherhood is a precious gift. However, itโs also the start of a selfless lifestyle that can really take its toll on a woman.
28-year-old Ashley knows what itโs like to be a busy mom. She has three boys under the age of 5, and also works on their familyโs farm (which is, of course, a very dirty job).
Sheโs used to getting up early to care for crops, feed the animals, and complete other chores.
While she enjoys the hectic schedule, Ashley wouldnโt mind a little โme timeโ as anyone else would.
She admitted,
โBeing a busy mom itโs fun, I like it, but it would be nice to get some time to just relax by myself. To get to listen to the birds chirp, maybe?โ
Between being a mom, wife, and farmer, Ashleyโs made sacrifices when it comes to her looks. She revealed that she grows her hair long for charity, but frankly, itโs too because she just doesnโt go in for a haircut.
Ashley doesnโt have much time for effort into her wardrobe either.
There are a lot of people who enjoy making it a fun outing shopping for clothes. Ashley, on the other hand, does it in a different way.
โTypically, if Iโm buying myself clothes itโs when Iโm running out to get the kidsโ clothes. Itโs a quick trip to see if I can find what Iโm looking for, and try it on quick, and get home.โ
The young momโs style is far from glamorous, to say the least. On a daily basis, she wears t-shirts, jeans, and one of four pairs of shoes.
Her outfit choices arenโt just because of the rustic lifestyle. They also stem from the fact that Ashley doesnโt feel confident about her appearance.
โI think Iโm just not comfortable with myself after having kids. Iโm trying to feel good with who I am right now. I definitely feel like a little self-care will go a long way.โ

Rachael Ray has showcased dozens and dozens of makeovers on her show. Theyโre inspiring, uplifting, and can even be jaw-dropping.
When it was time for Ashleyโs new look to be revealed, the host was joined on stage by makeup artist, Mally Roncal, who took part in the transformation.
Everyone cheered when Ashley finally stepped out โ complete with stunning tresses, attire, and even a face of makeup! Part of the fun with Rachaelโs makeovers is that the participant doesnโt get to see themselves until theyโre actually on stage.
So in front of the world, the young mom would be shown her updated look for the first time. Ashley is told to face a giant screen โ and then all of a sudden, bam, there she is!
But instead of being the old farmer Ashley, itโs a hot young mama that looks ready to hit the town. Even Rachael tells her that sheโs, โreally, really beautiful.โ
