Art is all around us. Whether it is in the form of paintings, drawings, music, theater… you name it.
What some may not have thought about as a form of art is leaf carvings – that’s right. You heard me correctly.
While some have maybe traced or shaded a leaf onto a piece of paper to reveal the intricacy of the leaf itself, this takes it one step further. A collection of artists have taken leafs and carved designs into the leaf itself, with the same level of intricacy and precision.

A field showing two deer and an assortment of dead trees – what makes this even more crazy is the precision between the branches on the trees. How the artist didn’t break the leaf in the process is beyond me.

This Fantastic Things video quickly went viral, gaining 4.6 MILLION views! Fans were just as enamored with the intricacy of the artwork as we were, adding comments such as, “fantastic!” and “unbelievable!”
One viewer speculated on how this kind of detailed artwork could be done, asking, “Needles and super narrow scissors?” and then, “A steady hand and patient person for sure….” Others offered the possibility of a laser as the tool of choice.
But all agreed on three things: the steady hand, lots of patience, and regardless of how it was done, this leaf art was one of the most beautiful artistic expressions they had ever seen!
