For one young man, the best day of his life would come from a random encounter at a drugstore one day…
Anthony Yorfido is a young man with down syndrome that visited a medical supply store one day. If there’s one thing you need to know about Anthony, it’s that he’s a huge Aerosmith fan. He wanted to get tickets to the upcoming Aerosmith concert in Welland, Ont., but he couldn’t because they were all sold out. As he entered the medical supply store, however, he noticed a man looking for a back brace that he instantly recognized. Anthony’s mom, Diane, said,
“I’m looking at him and I know his face, but I couldn’t think of his name.” But Anthony did. “He goes, ‘Oh, my God! Steven Tyler, is that you?’”
Anthony immediately went over to his idol and gave him a big hug. Steven graciously hugged him back and asked Anthony if he would be going to the show tonight.
When Anthony told Steven how he couldn’t get any tickets because they were all sold out, Steven said, “Oh, don’t worry about that, you guys are coming with me. I’ll get you backstage passes.” If that wasn’t already enough, Steven decided to something even more special for Anthony later that night at the concert. Want to know what Steven did?
