Every family has its flaws. After all, no one is perfect.

But this one British family takes the cake if you ask New Zealanders.

Their dysfunction was so great that the entire country of New Zealand was talking about their disruptive vacation there.

You’d think that an entire country would have better things to do than complain and judge a family until it reaches the local news.

But… here we are.

Basically, the family was on vacation and allegedly littered on the beach and were drunk.

This really upset some New Zealanders.

If you read the New Zealand Herald, you might think that the country, or at least this publication, has issues with calling out British families for their bad behavior.

This isn’t the only article calling out British families for their bad behavior. It kind of comes off as racist almost.

But this British family was harassed so badly by the locals that they say locals caused their car to crash and basically forced them to flee the country.

The family is accused of littering, theft, assault, not paying bills, and “general nuisance behavior,” according to the New Zealand Herald.

The mayor of Auckland, Phill Goff, called the family “worse than pigs.” But the family claims innocence and said they were being blamed for other people’s doing.

It all started when a woman confronted the family and asked them to pick up all the trash they left on Takapuna Beach.

Apparently one of the family members told the woman he would “knock your brains out.”

A tiny little kid even came up to the woman and started to flex and threaten her which was pretty hilarious.

This woman even started filming the family and the young child and posted the video online without their consent.

It was reported that later that same day some staff at Burger King complained of a group causing a ruckus.

The family was reported to have visited a number of cafes and restaurants in Auckland’s central business district. Some said they were abusive to employees while others complained that they left without paying their bills.

Reuters reports that a woman from the group was convicted for stealing a can of Red Bull and Sunglasses, a total cost of NZ$55.20, from a gas station.

Immigration officers eventually caught up with the group and handed them deportation notices.

Joe Doran, his wife, Eileen, and his parents Barbara and Larry were all given notices.

Larry told the New Zealand Herald that they “done nothing wrong.”

“It’s been the holiday from hell. It’s lies, they’ve condemned us. We’ve been hiding in the mountains for two days. We wanted to see the Hobbits, Lord of the Rings, didn’t get to see that,” he said.

The family says they are going to reach out to human rights groups for assistance.

“We are getting blamed for all different travelers’ problems,” said Joe. “We didn’t know them. I had to dye my hair.”

Ellen claims the garbage on the beach wasn’t theirs.

“But we were the last ones off the beach,” she said. “I don’t know why they had it in for us.”

Two members of the group appeared in a court. One woman had to pay reparations for stealing the sun glasses.

Another man faces assault charges with a weapon, reckless driving, and using a document for pecuniary advantage. He allegedly tried to drive his car into the complaining woman at Takapuna beach and tried to steal her cell phone.

Larry said he crashed his car after a local yelled “gypsy scum” at them.

They had to flee their car.

The family said they plan to sue Goff for his remarks.
