When Teresa Slater learned the details of her fifth pregnancy, she was thrilled! She was also hatching the perfect surprise for the rest of her family.
She and her husband decided that they would keep all of the details of this pregnancy a surprise from the rest of their family. And when we say all of the details, we mean all of the details.
It’s not out of the ordinary for couples to keep the gender of their baby a secret, but no one expected the one very important detail of Slater’s pregnancy.
On the day that she gave birth and invited her family to the hospital to meet the new addition to the family, her loved ones were shocked to see not one, but TWO newborn babies!
That’s right, Slater and her husband kept the secret that they were carrying twins from her family throughout the whole pregnancy.
Just imagine how surprised they were when they got to the hospital and saw the newborn twins!
The couple went through a lot to keep the twins a surprise. When they found out the were going to have multiples, they knew it’d be a hard secret to keep, but they pulled it off without a hitch.
“We kept the nursery locked, so when people came over they wouldn’t see double,” Theresa wrote on YouTube. “No one ever asked me if I was having twins.”

Deciding to set a camera up for the reveal of the twins was a genius idea. Everyone’s reactions are priceless! Not only are they adorable, some of them are pretty funny, too!
Their family is so excited to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl, that it’s clear that they didn’t even think that twins was a possibility. They’re doubly excited to meet their new family member. Just imagine how incredible it would be to find out that there’s not just one baby boy, but two added to your family!
As more and more family members trickle into the hospital room, a lot of the other members opt to stick around to see how everyone else will react to the surprise. Some family members are even facetimed in to get in on the ultimate surprise.
