One of them is military discounts.
Military Spouse states: “no matter the store or restaurant, there’s a very high chance that they give military families a little extra love in the form of a discount.”
This is probably the reason why this military wife was infuriated when she did not get what she wanted when she was dining in a restaurant. However, what she was asking was not a discounted drink but a free one.
She paid for it but she left a surprising note.
It reads: “I’m a military spouse it should be free next time thank a military spouse.”
That note has been circulating online. It looks like the woman was the one who posted it including her rant against the restaurant. She said that she expected that she would get “free stuff” as she is a military wife. She also claimed that military wives deserve to get free drinks.
Lots of people have something to say about the rant of this military wife.
“She wanted free champagne. Because she’s the wife of a military member. I. Can’t. That smiley face is the passive-aggressive cherry on top,” one Twitter user said.
A commenter even thought that this one didn’t really happen. Whether it’s true or not, one thing is for sure, we’ve learned something from this scenario.
It looks like most of the comments were against the wife.
One commenter even called the wife “the worst kind of husband girl”. Some military spouses also shared their own experiences.
“As a military wife, I can confirm. I work and always have but I’ve seen these women. They scare me.”
On Reddit, the said photo has gained over 6,000 comments and most of them were criticizing the wife. We can’t blame them because the way the woman ranted on social media was kinda offensive.
They should indeed have benefits as they also have their fair share of sacrifices as wives of military men. It’s also understandable that the wife just wanted to get what she thought she deserved. It’s always okay to do that.
What’s unacceptable is the way she handled the situation. Aside from the offensive words that she used, she just informed the restaurant staff through a note.
She should have talked to the restaurant’s manager politely and settled it pleasantly. Lastly, posting it on social media was not needed at all.
