Some people just seem to have all the luck — at least that’s what woman named Jeannie Klisiewicz thought back in 2008. She was absolutely convinced that lady luck was not on her side — little did she know, her life was going to change!
Ellen DeGeneres is known for many things but over the years it’s been because of her hilarious and entertaining talk show. She interviews amazing people and gives away some outrageous prizes to her fans. She’s an inspiration for many people across the world for her activism.
Jeannie was one of those fans who so badly wanted to win any of Ellen’s contest. She entered every contest time after time for 6 years but never seemed to win. After a while, Jeannie just figured she was an unlucky person.
In 2008, Ellen decided to call Jeannie during the tapings of one of her shows. The call was to inform Jeannie that, yet again, she was not the winner of the latest contest. But was this Ellen’s ultimate plan? A cruel phone call to let her know that she lost yet again?
Of course, Ellen had an even bigger surprise in store for Jeannie. A life-changing surprise.
“What do you need?” Ellen asked. “I need a job!” Jeannie responded. “I’ll clean your bathroom!” This one question would set the course for Jeannie’s life in a completely different direction than she ever imagined. Jeannie was not prepared for what would happen next.
Ellen absolutely fell in love with Jeannie’s vibrant and magnetic personality — she decided to hire Jeannie as the receptionist for her show. The reason for the call just took a totally different turn. Could you imagine such a huge surprise?

Ever since that fateful moment, Jeannie has become an important member of the Ellen family. She’s since conducted interviews, gone undercover, and even helped Ellen perform surprises for other unsuspecting guests! Talk about the ultimate dream job!
It’s absolutely incredible how quickly life can change and a dream can come true — you just can never give up! Jeannie’s persistence for those 6 years truly paid off and she now has the boss of her dreams! She never saw this coming back in 2008.
