By the time most people reach their senior years they’ve usually become less active and prefer to start taking it easy. They’ve earned it, after all.
Joint pain and other health issues can sometimes make it hard to stay fit.
But this amazing couple hasn’t let old age stand in their way of doing what they love to do!
Vyacheslav and Olga Mozzhechkovy have always loved to dance, so they signed up to compete at the Glass Zebra event in Russia.
They performed a routine to the tune of Chubby Checker’s 1961 hit, Let’s Twist Again.
Chubby Checker is widely recognized as the artist who popularized the iconic dance style. He’s an American artist and released a series of hit songs in the 1960s. Funnily enough, many of them have to do with the twist or have “twist” in the title!

Vyacheslav kicks off the routine by running around the room to hype up the audience, before using Olga’s arm as a pseudo microphone and lip-syncing along to the tune.
“Let’s twist again, like we did last summer.”
Together they start swinging around the dance floor so effortlessly that you forget they’re seniors! They look like two carefree twenty-somethings at a party.

They’re spinning, twirling, and stepping across the dance floor. And of course, twisting.
How could they not include the iconic move when dancing to this song?

They look like they’re having so much fun together! They’re still so in love and it has me melting.
This is relationship goals.

They’re really having fun with the routine and are making it look so easy. They must have been dancing together for years.
You can tell it’s something they really love to do!

Then, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the duo transitions a simple twirl into a between-the-legs slide. My jaw dropped!

To cap off the flawless routine, they end with a trust-fall where Olga drops back into Vyacheslav’s arms before he lifts her back up again.
The crowd absolutely loses their minds (myself included).

All any of us can hope for is to be this happy and healthy in our old age.
Even if I can’t dance, I want my spirit to be this lively when I’m their age.

This commenter pointed out how well they’re representing their generation and I totally agree! Inspirational for people everywhere, and making seniors look cooler than the bump n’ grinders of the younger generations.
Forever young indeed. It’s not a cliche, age really is just a number.
