So let’s not waste one more minute, let’s go over the ingredients you will need in order to taste this yummy treat for yourself.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 to 5 overripe bananas
- Once mashed should equal about 2 and a third cups banana
Once you have gathered all your ingredients it is time to head to the kitchen!
Directions:
For the first step preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). After that, lightly grease your pan with either softened butter, canola or vegetable oil or pam spray with a paper towel a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
For the second step take a large bowl in which you will be combining the 2 cups of all-purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, and a quarter teaspoon of salt. Then take a separate bowl and whisk together half a cup of butter that should be softened to room temperature and 3 quarters of a cup of brown sugar.
Before adding, be sure to beat the 2 eggs and mash 4 to 5 overripe bananas. Once completed combine the banana mixture and into the flour mixture by stirring but just to moisten be careful not to overwork the flour. Once you are finished stirring the mixture until it is moist and soft pour the batter in the greased loaf pan.
For the third step, gently place your gooey mixture in the preheated oven to bake for 60 to 65 minutes.
Be sure when you take it out to check your precious creation is complete by sticking a toothpick into the center of the loaf until it comes out clean. If your loaf passes this test let the bread cool down in the pan for about 10 minutes then turn it out onto the wire rack.
For the final and best step, gently slice your banana bread and enjoy your tasty creation!

Another user by the name of Anjouleme rated this recipe 5 stars and even switched it up a little bit writing,
“Great recipe! Like others, I also added some spice (vanilla, cinnimon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice). I wanted to make muffins, so I put the batter into a muffin tin sprayed lightly with Pam. At 325 degrees they were done in about 25 minutes! The batter yeilded 12 good sized muffins that were moist and delicious! Definitely a keeper.”
