There’s nothing like music to bring people together. Especially when that music is Boogie Woogie! You won’t believe how far this man will go for a little bit of entertainment.
Terry Miles is a piano teacher who dedicates his YouTube channel to teaching his favorite music style: the Boogie Woogie. However, over the past year, he’s been uploading videos of himself playing piano in public places. Last October, things went a little too far when he sat down at a piano in Birmingham City Centre.
Things got started when Terry sat down at the piano and started playing rather softly. A few bystanders took a look at him, but not many stopped.
Things began to pick up when Elsie began playing alongside her father. The two have been playing music and singing together her entire life. They are as natural as can be and seem to enjoy each others’ company.
Though this duo was adorable, what really fascinated those walking by was when a seemingly unknown young man began playing harmonica along with the duo.
The three were fabulous and brought incredible energy to the table. At one point, Elsie makes it a point to hold up the sign posted on the piano. The sign that reads “So Sorry, This is Out of Order.”
But the trio proved this wrong, didn’t they? The piano seemed to be working as good as it ever had! Though most wouldn’t dare to touch an instrument that wasn’t to be used, these three dared to do so.
For those interested, the girl playing the piano with Terry is his daughter Elsie Miles who uploads weekly podcasts on her YouTube channel. The man on the harmonica is Anthony Miles, Terry’s son who is an actor with 15 credits on IMDb. It seems the family is rather talented!
But does talent interfere with the law? At times, it does! When things were getting really heated, an officer stopped by and spoke to the trio. “You have to stop playing,” the officer says.
Did that stop them? It sure didn’t. Perhaps if the officer had been sterner, they would have listened. But instead, he talked to others standing around about the situation.
A minute later, the performance stopped, and did the officer get angry? Nope! He simply shook the man’s hand. Guess music isn’t as illegal as we thought here at Birmingham Centre. Even the law can enjoy a good boogie woogie!
Thank God no one got arrested in the name of music, because if it were possible, the Miles family would have accomplished it already. Keep spreading joy with the boogie-woogie, Miles’.
