Dealing with temper tantrums is a normal, albeit frustrating, part of being a parent. One minute, your little rugrat can be completely satisfied. But within a few short seconds, they have transformed into a holy terror— an event which can be made all the more embarrassing by a public setting.

Celebrity Drew Barrymore recently experienced her daughter’s temper-tantrum wrath during a trip to Disney World.

She describes the experience to Seth Meyers on a segment of Late Night with Seth Meyers, explaining, “[Disney] was the best experience ever. I just had tears of joy seeing their joy. But,” she continues, “If you’ve ever taken your kids to Disneyland or Disney World, it all ends at some point in mayhem.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, a temper tantrum is “the expression of a young child’s frustration with the challenges of a moment.” This can be due to any variety of reasons, they say. But in Drew’s 4-year-old daughter Olive’s case, it was a nasty case of sleep deprivation.

Drew explains the situation, saying, “You’re like ‘I’m here! Let’s skip the nap and let’s go, go, go!’ You want to maximize it.”

Unfortunately for Drew, things took a nasty turn when she told Olive that she was not allowed to chase ducks in the park.

Olive was not having any of it. But instead of getting upset and ruining their vacation time together, Drew decided to take a different approach— holding an impromptu photo shoot right in the middle of the park!

In case you can’t tell, the pictures were taken at 2 different occasions, one while at Disney World and the other at Disney Land. It appears that Olive’s tantrum was not just a singular event.

Since hitting the toddler years, Drew has become much more proficient in tantrum management, telling Miller:

“I think you should have 10 consistent tools in your arsenal. It’s either the tender loving approach or the ‘I’m very serious approach.'”

And Drew’s not the only parent who has been taking a humorous approach to what can be an embarrassing situation; in fact, Asshole Parents, is an entire website dedicated toddlers taking tantrums for silly reasons, with parents referring to themselves as an #AssholeParent.

If you’re having issues with temper tantrums, Mayo Clinic suggests the following tips:

  • Be consistent and establish a routine
  • Don’t schedule errands when you know your child will be cranky, hungry, or tired
  • Encourage the use of language and words
  • Let your child make some choices, even if they are meaningless (for example, letting them pick which cup to use)
  • Praise good behavior
  • Identify triggers
