For those of us who are married or have a significant other, there’s usually something to gripe about. No matter how much we love them, it’s just part of being in a relationship (and nobody’s perfect).
However, it’s not often you get the chance to spill these pet peeves on national TV. Kind of like how Steve Harvey’s wife did when she flipped the spotlight on her husband in the most hilarious fashion.
Comedian Steve Harvey’s known for putting a smile on everyone’s face. With uplifting shows like Little Big Shots, Family Feud, and his own personal talk program – it’s no wonder he’s been a great success over the years.
But that doesn’t mean he lacks having downfalls like the rest of us have. And if you need more proof – just ask his wife, Marjorie.
Steve and Marjorie have been married since 2007. The host has four children from his two previous marriages, and Marjorie has three children of her own – who he proudly is the stepfather of.
One of the segments on Steve Harvey is called, “I Love My Man But..” So when the opportunity arose, Marjorie decided to turn the tables on her husband.
And when Steve found out that he was the subject of the day, his reaction is hysterical.
Surely the crowd would have been entertained if the couple worked on their problems themselves, in likely the funniest manor. Yet, there was only one man that could REALLY get down to the bottom of their issues.
When Dr. Phil walked out on stage – Steve was in disbelief. It was about to get good!
Suddenly the interviewer became the interviewee in a segment that Mr. Harvey wasn’t expecting to be on the other end of.
As Steve tried to get over his shock about being in the hot seat – Dr. Phil prompted Marjorie to start unloading her issues. She then began telling the crowd about her husband’s messy behaviors.
“If you’re ever looking for Steve, you never have to wonder where he is because there is literally a trail. When he gets home it’s his briefcase. If he’s eating it’s food all over the house. And it’s like Steve, are you kidding me?”
It sounds like Marjorie has the same issue that a lot of us have with a spouse. But what her biggest thing is, is that it even rubs off on their kids.
As Marjorie and Dr. Phil go back and forth talking about Steve – the best part is watching his facial expressions. They really say it all.
Finally, Steve’s given the opportunity to defend himself. He tells everyone that not only is he just someone who doesn’t clean, but he also has four full-time jobs – which is why he pays someone to clean for him.
Steve then tells Dr. Phil,
“But Marjorie wants me to clean the stuff up before the housekeeper comes. If I do that, then why we paying her?”
The crowd can’t stop laughing, especially when Steve defends being messy as a way to create jobs.
“I’m helping America get back to work!”
Now it was time for Dr. Phil to give the couple some “tools” to work with. If you’ve ever watched his own program, then you’re familiar with his classic phrases like, “you teach people how to treat you,” and “when you choose the behavior you choose the consequences.”
That’s right, Dr. Phil.
It’s a funny clip that will have you rolling in your seat. Just wait until you see Steve squirming in his!
