It’s almost the summer, which means camping!
And, with the Dollar Tree store, preparing will not break the bank.
These Dollar Tree items may have been made for one thing but campers have also found a way to use them for their camping trips. Check out these helpful tips!
1. Stackable boxes
These boxes are great for keeping things organized. In one box, you can keep games for the family. In another box, you can keep the supplies for the campfire. And in another box, you can keep a flashlight and other similar items.
2. Cake covers
Of course you won’t bring a cake while camping. But the cake covers are a great way to hold paper plates and napkins so the wind doesn’t blow them away.
3. Two-in-one canteen
This is a great find at the Dollar Tree! It’s a two-in-one drinking bottle. The top part holds the water or drink. And the bottom unscrews into a drinking cup.
4. Ordinary mitts and kitchen towels
You don’t want to use your fancy kitchen towels to camping when it could get lost or burnt. Use the less fancy ones to hold hot plates.
5. Shower caps
Shower caps are a great item to bring at a camping trip. You can use them to store dirty shoes or cover your food bowls from flies and insects. Just remember not to interchange the two.
6. Clothesline hook
You can tie this clothesline to two trees or to a tree and your tent. Hang your dirty or wet clothes easily.
7. Jumbo clamps
Use the clamps to secure your clothesline or the clothes hanging on your clothesline. You can also use it clip your table cloth to your table so it doesn’t fly off.
8. Mesh bags
Besides storing your laundry and wet shoes, you can also store your wet plates, utensils and other kitchenware inside to dry away from flies and insects. You can also use it to store little items you’ll need within arms length. The see-through mesh will help you identify which bag you used for it.
9. Little flashlights
These little flashlights and head lamps will come in handy at night. And they’re light so they don’t add too much weight in your bag.
10. Toilet paper tubes
You can bring toilet paper tubes stuffed with laundry lint that will help you start a fire. Just light it up and stack dried branches, leaves and twigs on top to keep the fire going.
11. First aid essentials
This isn’t a hack but you’ll need these for the camping trip. And they’re just a dollar at the Dollar Tree store! So stock up!
12. Little loofahs
Bring little loofahs so each person has their own. And it’s small so it’s easy to store away.
13. Glow sticks
These are great to use at night! When one member of your party has to leave, you’ll still be able to spot them because of these glow sticks. And you can also wrap it around the tent ties so no one will trip on them.
14. Pool noodles
You can also use pool noodles for the tent ties. Just cut them in half and stick it on the tent ties. You can also use the pool noodles for the toilet bucket.
15. Solar lights or portable lights
These are great to keep around the camp site. Keep them near places where it’s easy to trip. Keep them near the tent entry. You can also use them to light your way to the toilet.
16. Laundry hamper
Keep your dirty laundry in this hamper. Hampers will make sure all dirty laundry is in one place.
17. Frisbees
You can use the frisbees two ways during camping trips. One, you can play with them, just be careful not to throw too hard. Second, they can double as paper plate holders.
18. Storage caddy
You can use this caddy either for your utensils and keep it organized. Or you can use it to store your shower items.
19. Stackable pill containers
Yes, you can use these to bring your medicine to your trip. And you can also use this to store the spices you’ll need during the trip. Just make sure to label them correctly. You don’t want to use the salt when you wanted sugar.
20. Squeeze bottles
Squeeze bottles are great for bringing already-cracked eggs, pancake mixes. You don’t need to worry about anything cracking open and ruining your clothes because everything is inside the squeeze bottle, which has a working lid.
