We all love Judge Judy for her sassy attitude and a recent case showed that after all of these years, she’s definitely had her fair share of ridiculous characters, silly cases, and infuriating moments. This one however, was a little more heartwarming than some of her typical court cases, and this sad story that includes a stolen pup and his rightful owner is capturing the hearts of those on the internet all over the world by going viral.
The case involved a small white dog, which was reportedly stolen and sold to the defendants. The woman claimed to have been legally sold the pet on the street, however, the man suing was adamant that the dog was his. It’s not reportedly evident how he was able to trace back and find his pet, but the video indicates that the defendants refused in returning the dog after the initial confrontation. While the judge went through certain paperwork and information provided to her, she decided that the easiest solution was to bring the dog in to figure out the truth.
What happens next is truly incredible.
As soon as the dog is within smelling distance with his past owner, it’s obvious that he recognizes him. Judge Judy immediately tells the defendant holding the dog to put him down.
“Put the dog down,” she commands to the new owner after some initial pushback.
The dog immediately runs over to his rightful owner, and the entire crowd claps as the dog jumps up and down all over his owners legs. It’s obvious that he missed his previous family member!
While the new owner is adamant that the dog does that to everyone, no one in the courtroom was convinced of the woman’s lies. Judge Judy concludes that the court case is over after seeing the way the dog reacts.
“It’s his dog,” Judge Judy concludes on the case. “That’s all, take the dog home.”
The true loving bond between a man and his dog is truly beautiful to watch and it’s obvious how much he loves his real owner. While it is unfortunate that everyone had to go to court to deal with this heartbreaking situation, we’re glad that they were able to unite and be together once and for all again!
