Some people don’t want pets around their babies, but others understand that having one around their babies is quite beneficial in more ways than one. This is why this mom has no problem letting her baby interact with their huge husky.
Baby comes in to have a chat with the family’s husky.
Mom decides to leave her little toddler to practice crawling on the floor, until the baby found the husky resting on the mat.
Without fear, the baby approaches the big dog.
Mom was sure to supervise them as they roam around the house. She noticed that her husky seemed uncomfortable with the bold baby. However, even though the baby was bugging him in his spot, he never growled.
The parents were amused as well as the baby started speaking gibberish at the husky. They grabbed a camera to record the wholesome moment.
They think they are communicating.
Dogs can’t understand words, much more if it’s gibberish. However, since the baby started chatting, the pooch responded with a howl.
They traded responses back and forth as if they are communicating. Although, you could see how the husky isn’t used to the baby yet as he kept looking at the parents for letting their baby do what he pleases.
The poor husky probably just wants to have his afternoon nap, and with the baby around, it made it seem impossible. Perhaps the baby was just sharing about what he had for breakfast or sharing some corny jokes he heard. Regardless, the husky wasn’t liking it and wants his parents to take him back.
The yelling galore does not stop there.
The baby was still perched at the same spot, as well as the husky. They both showed persistence, exchanging howls and yells back and forth. However, you could clearly see that the husky had enough of the noises. The husky gave off a rebellious scoff and tried to approach his parents.
The yelling was just too much for the husky and so he tried to direct his complaint towards the parents. He then barked at them as if he was saying:
“Can’t you do something about this, hooman? This little flesh ball is getting on my nerves.”
The pooch tried to get away from the spot but noticed how the baby was following him around. The pooch looked back to the parents for the last time and barked at them and probably said:
“Look, he is following me now, care to get him away from me?”
Jealous huskies always want attention!
Siberian huskies are one of the most stubborn dog breeds in the world.
The stubbornness also comes with the possessive trait, making them possessive in their territories or even towards their owner.
This clingy trait of theirs could be adorable to some but it is not particularly great when you are planning to have a new pet or a baby because of possible jealousy. However, with supervision and discipline, even these stubborn pooch could be loving towards a new member.
Worry not about this husky thought, they’d surely get along soon enough as soon as the baby grows a little older. Who knows, they might just become inseparable together in the long run.
