The universe works in mysterious ways, sometimes things happen that seem horrible at the moment, but actually, end up being for the best. When this woman’s dog tore up her passport, initially, she was furious, until she realized she has just saved her from traveling to the exact place the Coronavirus had spread to.
This pooch is a life-saver, literally!
Kimi is a Golden Retriever who ‘accidentally’ tore up her owner’s passport and potentially saved her life in the process
When Kimis owner walked in to find her passport torn to shreds, at first, she was angry that she wouldn’t be able to fulfill her trip she had planned to, Wuhan, China. That was before the city was labeled the epicenter of the Coronavirus, now she thinks her dog might have just been her ‘saving grace.’
Dogs can sense things that humans cannot, so it’s not far-fetched to think it’s a possibility that, Kimi, could sense the danger of traveling to Wuhan.
Just days after the golden retriever had torn up her passport blocking her trip to Wuhan, the Coronavirus spread and the city was put on lockdown
Her anger about the passport being destroyed evaporated the second she saw that the Coronavirus had spread to the exact location she has planned to travel to. She now was overjoyed by her dog’s actions, Kimi very well may have saved her life!
In pure disbelief, the dogs’ owner wondered if it had been a coincidence at all. Did Kimi just happen to rip up the passport? Or had the dog sensed the potential danger of traveling to Wuhan and purposely interveined?
“I was very angry when I saw my passport torn. And then I saw the news about the coronavirus spreading in Wuhan a few days later, I was thinking back to the day my passport was torn up.” Kimis owner told Bored Panda.
After Kimis owner realized her dog might have saved her life, the Facebook post about her passport took a new meaning
Originally, the woman had posted a frustrated post about her dog’s passport-chew toy to Facebook. However, when Wuhan became the epicenter of the Coronavirus, she updated the post saying:
“Do you guys remember the passport? Throwback: this kid is really protecting me. After my passport was torn apart, the virus began to go where I originally planned to go. I think about it now, and it’s very touching. Fortunately, you blocked our trip,” she wrote in hindsight.
The Coronavirus has killed 132 people and infected more than 6,000 people on Chinas mainland and has spread to 18 countries including the United States
As health officials scramble to try to get the Coronavirus under control, it continues to spread and has now reached 18 countries including Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and the US.
With so many people who’ve been killed by the virus, Kimis owner now feels lucky that her dog tore up her passport and will be forever grateful!
