Unfortunately, not all marriages tend to last forever and divorces are probably one of the most heartbreaking things a person can endure in their life. Going through a divorce needs time and people can definitely feel down for a number of months, but Lori realized that she needed to get a fresh start and get her life back on track.
The woman decided that she wanted a brand new look to start a new chapter in her life and reached out to a person who was absolutely perfect for the job: Christopher Hopkins, also known as The Makeover Guy. Christopher owns a beauty salon in Minneapolis and also documents some of his makeovers on his YouTube channel where he amassed over 34,000 subscribers.
Lori’s makeover was somewhat special for Christopher because the transformation is remarkable and because they graduated from high school around the same time in the same neighborhood.
“I have to admit I had extra fun with Lori because we graduated about the same year from nearby high schools in Southwestern Minnesota. I think this may be one of my favorites. Amy Zwievelhofer took Lori’s hair from blah brown to beautiful auburn, meticulous makeup by Amy Goulet or Kami Klevin I’m not sure. And I did the cut which needed more length still. She said she’d come back in 6 months but I’ve yet to see her! Hello Lori!” the video caption reads.
One thing Christopher always enjoys is showing his customers that a new hairstyle can truly do wonders.
“The look of my hair can’t be changed” is something that the stylist often hears, but he certainly loves to prove them wrong.
Christopher had some help from his staff members and the result is remarkable. The first thing he and his team did was cut her hair just a little bit shorter, after which he proceeded to give it a more natural and vivid brownish color. It was brighter and more colorful: perfect for a fresh start. After the haircut, a make-up crew did the rest and made sure that Lori felt like an attractive and strong self-confident woman again.
