Divorce is one of the hardest things that a family will ever have to go through. Often times two people will struggle for years trying to make their relationship work for the sake of their children and families before they finally decide to divorce.

And unfortunately, it’s an all too often occurrence these days.

According to the American Psychological Association, between 40 and 50 percent of marriages in the U.S. end in divorce. But sometimes divorce doesn’t have to mean the end of a relationship. Many couples have found ways to co-parent and get along after their separation.

And some couples even find their way back to love. That’s what happened to Jeffrey Agan’s parents. Jeffrey’s parents were married for more than 20 years before they divorced.

They would fight bitterly and had a tough time getting along.

But after a while, they began to focus on improving themselves and by improving themselves they ended up improving their relationship.

The couple started dating again and eventually, Jeffrey’s dad realized that Jeffrey’s mother was the only woman for him and surprised her with a proposal on Christmas. And he caught the entire surprise proposal on video.

“My parents were married for more than 20 years, divorced, fought a lot, went to work on themselves. Years later, they start dating and as of yesterday, this happened,” the caption of Jeffrey’s video reads. “Congrats Mom and Dad! True love always finds its way back around.”

Jeffrey’s mother is handed a large present while she is secretly being filmed.

“Is it a pizza?” she asks while unwrapping the large box.

She looks confused as she rips the package apart. She pulls out a framed image and starts reading from it.

“Love burns a new. Our love was there it never left though both of us felt lost. Fate intervened for me and you and our love caught fire and burns a new. So now, I ask you Lori once again…” she reads from the image.

Lori, however, doesn’t finish reading and her jaw just drops. She looks up to see her ex-husband down on one knee handing her a ring box.

“Oh my God!!!!” she screams. “Oh, yes, yes, yes, I love you so much,” she says jumping up to hug him.

The two just hug each other hard as Lori weeps with joy.

It’s an incredibly beautiful moment, especially because you can tell these two have been through so much and genuinely love each other with all of their being.

Watch this touching moment in the video below which is proof that there is such a things as happily ever after.
